How does this thing work?!? Puntuado con 1 de 5 estrellas
I *REALLY* wish there was some help for how to use this addon. I have *NO* idea how to use it. There is no instructions that make sense, or how to get started, or what means what. A Youtube video tutorial would be awesome. Or to showcase what it can actually do, and how to do it.
There is a website that has a timestamp (server time) and the number of users who are logged into the site. I would like to collect the number of users at given times (site activity) aggregate the data to find out which time of the day the sit is most busy, and the times when it is slowest.
I was hoping this would allow me to collect the data for me, but I have no idea how to operate this addon.
I would love some instructions so I can rate this addon 5 stars.

I just wanted to react to the first review, saying that Chartlet didn't work. I've installed Chartlet in the fall of 2008 and used it to crawl data about our intern, password protected issue managment system. Using the instructions from the Chartlet.net website, I managed to download hourly information about the number of issues we had and several statistics about the these issues. For these statistics I made some chartlets, which was a bit hard given that no log was available, but after some trial-and-error it was.
Some rudimentary charts from the chartlet were uploaded to http://www.chartlet.net. The charts are from November 2008. One should be able to upload and download chartlets themselves, but I haven't figured out how this can be done.
After copying and changing the chartlet, the chartlet wouldn't collect data for a while, but here after, it would start up picking up data again. I have no clue for this behavior, and as I mentioned before, chartlet does not provide any log.
After a upgrade to Firefox 3.0.5, I have lost my Chartlet button in the toolbar. Upgrading, downgrading, de-installing and installing the add-on did not help and ever since, the button is lost, even though my current version of Firefox is supported by Chartlet.
Overall, I find chartlet a fun and usefull tool to crawl data, providing fast and insightfull graphs, with the following points to be improved:
* Too bad the data cannot be downloaded to be used in Excel or something similar.
* Also my problems with upgrading Firefox are a shame
* Chartlet does not give you any insight why your chartlet is NOT working, which is frustrating and leaves you guessing.
can't get it to work Puntuado con 1 de 5 estrellas
I tried this addon around February 2008 and now again in October 2008. I can't get it to work. I've tried installing chartlets from the chartlet page (10 of the 12 examples were created on Feb 15, 19, or 20 of 2007), and following the Basic Use example. Since those did not collect data, I tried using the Advanced Use tutorial to make my own chartlet. I failed. Without having a working example, it is hard to figure out what the problem is. With the examples from the chartlets page, I can Run them, see the running indicator (red square), but no data are collected. Seems odd that with 4600 downloads there would not be even one review--saying it is great or not. The idea sounds nice, but without being able to implement it, there is no utility in it. Outside of chartlet.net, I could not find a single web posting with an example of the use of ChartLet (via Google, Dogpile). This also makes me suspect that this addon does not work. If others do have success with this addon, post a detailed description (e.g., with readable screenshots of each step, to save having to type descriptions) somewhere. If this addon does actually work, I will use it. For now, I will uninstall it again.Esta valoración es de una versión anterior del complemento (1.2).
