Useful for flagging Add-On redesign candidates Puntuado con 5 de 5 estrellas

I have been rebuilding FF 50.0 Add-On installations for, severally, Ubuntu® 16.04.1-LTS and Microsoft® Windows® 10 Build 1607 10.0.14393.451. This Extension has verified many of my formerly used Extensions as in need of complete redesign; the Merci_chao Extension Personal Menu, needed for UI cleanliness for some Users' needs, is not multiprocess-ready at last check, and I'll probably have a Bug to file at Launchpad to give a place to track a completely new Ubufox' construction (Package xul-ext-ubufox 3.2, a Depend for FF on Ubuntu®, is not multiprocess-ready).

Please make in red the alert "Not compatible with multiprocess" for a better view.
Thanks.

Great! I can now anticipate which of my add-ons will break when multiprocess gets pushed to users who use add-ons Puntuado con 5 de 5 estrellas

Thanks so much for writing this. I was dismayed to see in about:addons after installing this that several add-ons that are very important to me don't yet support e10s, even though most of them are add-ons where you wouldn't think it'd be significant whether they're running in a single shared process or not. I'm grateful that I'll be able to track the progress my add-on collection makes towards multiprocess compatibility, and will know which developers to poke if needed.

Now we just need an add-on like this for the more terrifying impending change, the elimination of the original XPCOM and XUL add-on APIs in favor of the cross-browser WebExtensions API. That change will of course require a lot more work by devs to update their add-ons for, and reportedly the initial public version will _not_ replicate all the functionality of the old APIs.

BTW, in regards to BlackMagicZurgo's review before me, note that current public versions of Firefox disable multiprocess if you have _any_ add-ons installed, regardless of whether they're multiprocess compatible or not.

Addons marked as compatible multi-process.. but are indeed not. Puntuado con 2 de 5 estrellas

Add-on Compatibility Reporter mark some addons as : "Compatible with multi-process" but, however, some add-ons are actually NOT compatibles, like, say, FireGestures or Firebug (about:support report that "some addons disabled multi-process").

Adds the text "Not compatible/Compatible with multiprocess" to every add-on in the manager, which is pretty ugly. Just the icon would be much better.

mutilprocess ? Puntuado con 4 de 5 estrellas

j'utilise FF depuis plusieurs années actuellement v48.02

good idea , ive just seen i have a lot of non multiprocess addons lol , even though i run ff50 everything is fine though and non of the adons makes any stress ...

what i don´t like is that you guys inject a stylesheet into the addon page ... which breaks my own stylesheet for that site .. it would be enough to just insert the icon besides the adon icon honestly !

Great idea, wish it was better publicised. Makes the Addons page too busy though. Puntuado con 4 de 5 estrellas

The additional extended text in the Extensions page giving the multiprocess status (compatible or not) is too extensive and makes the page far too busy.
Simple ICONS, which it already has, with the explanation in a tool tip would make the page much much less chaotic.

Very good Addon Puntuado con 5 de 5 estrellas

Works perfect on Firefox version 37.0.2.

It will be good if page show which addons was checked with this addon or any other default addon or function checker !

I mean for every addon which has been checked will be showed below users reviews on the right side!

This will be very helpful for other users. Firefox have alot addons which is very good and I am also very satisfied. Every user use own addon he like.... but problem is that some addons doesn`t work or they not working correct. If page show which addons work perfect will be very helpful....

Many of us rely on this add-on to use extensions and themes WHICH WORK PERFECTLY WELL in our Mozilla programs. Mozilla insists that any add-on which doesn't explicitly list support for a given version should be disabled without any way for the user to re-enable them! This add-on gets rid of that ridiculous "feature" of Mozilla software.

Naturally, the ability to test add-ons, and mark whether or not they still work with a given version of Firefox, Thunderbird, etc., OUGHT to be built in to the software. Since it's not, this extension is critical!

Given that, I'm very disappointed that support for Thunderbird (and Seamonkey) was dropped as of version 2.0.

Furthermore, seeing that many other reviewers would like to know why as well, I really wish the author would tell us why he felt the need to drop this support.

This extension is single-handedly responsible for killing user feedback for extensions and themes authors. Without that valuable feedback, it's impossible for extensions and theme authors to do what they do. These reports are very difficult to get to and because they are anonymized there's no way to get information out of users with problems.

If you value high-quality addons, then do yourself and your addons authors a favor and uninstall this junk and take the effort to use forums and feedback mechanisms most authors provide.

I use this extension with the Nightly Tester Tools extension, which prevents FF from automatically disabling add-ons that haven't yet been officially "approved" for each new FF version. With rare exceptions, most add-ons work just fine from one FF version to another. Consequently, I use this extension not to report problems, but to report that add-ons that'd otherwise be disabled are OK.Of course, you can't test add-ons if you can't enable them---and I don't think everyone knows about the NTT extension. So how about adding a similar feature to ACR, to let people to override FF's automatic disabling? Then you could change the button it adds from "Report Issue" to "Report OK/Not OK", or something like that. Then it wouldn't be so odd, clicking "Report Issue" to report there are no issues. :?)

P.S., to the last reviewer: ACR does check themes's compatibility, at least on my system (FF v24.0). I just submitted "OK" reports for two of them.

I loved this add-on UNTIL I started to use 64bit firefox (Waterfox, Cyberfox) and discovered it does not work with any of the 64bit flavors

This addon is great for developers and people who want to help developers chart the success of their addons across various platforms and versions of Firefox.
