Every day, Adblock opens a New Tab requesting that I pay to upgrade to "premium Adblock"...whatever that nonsense is. This behavior only began roughly 1-2 years ago, when Adblock started going downhill. The straw that broke the camel's back tho was that Adblock recently decided to hide the "Block something on this page" button—the only feature that I ever really valued. So, reader, do yourself a favor: skip Adblock & just stick with **uBlock Origin**... it's free, zero spam, & vastly better performance.

They disguise them as "update" notifications but they are pushing updates every week and if you have the extension on multiple devices it will take over whatever tab you have open and show you that it's updated for the 5th time this month on every single device and conveniently also have an option to donate money.
The annoyance quickly builds up. After being interrupted and having to close a good 20-30 pop ups across all my devices a month, I'm done.Respuesta del desarrollador

publicado el hace 13 díasPlease try allowing ads on YouTube for a day or so. Then, when AdBlock is enabled again, YouTube's warning should no longer show. I understand the need to monetize, but opening a new tab to push a subscription offer feels intrusive. Most people are already overwhelmed with numerous subscriptions and don’t want to add another. This approach undermines the very purpose of using an ad blocker in the first place.
Rethink your marketing efforts, AdBlock. Do better.Respuesta del desarrollador

There is no obligation to upgrade, and you can dismiss the page by clicking the "x" on the browser tab. I appreciate your feedback about your experience with the update page and have made a note for our team. Adblock will open up a spam tab every single day asking you to pay money for their "Premium" service. I was using this app because I DIDN'T WANT popups, lmao.
They're also going to reply to this review stating that the basic app is available for free and that the pop-up tab can simply be closed. Hey Adblock, I have a better solution--how about you stop asking for handouts and stop spamming us with popups? :D "If you don't like the tab you can just close it" is the same as saying "Hey, we are going to try to punch you in the face every day, if you don't like that you can just try to dodge the punch."Respuesta del desarrollador
