Wrong Layout displays the detected keyboard language as a flag inside password fields, helping you notice an incorrect layout before entering your password.
The extension works entirely locally. It never reads password values, collects personal data, or sends information to external servers.
Languages are detected from the latest typed letter. Supported writing systems include Latin, Cyrillic, Greek, Arabic, Hebrew, Devanagari, Korean, Japanese, and Chinese. The flag automatically scales to match the password field.
After switching layouts, the previous flag is hidden until the first letter is typed. This is necessary because browsers do not provide extensions with direct access to the operating system’s current keyboard layout.
