I have been happy using this Firefox extention for years. Unfortunately it stopped working with youtube again (Version 9.3.0.1).

Yay, prompted to rate after 100 downloads... 100 downloads of Chinese I don't understand with no subs...

Required update: Add option to include the subs attached to said files...

Additional updates: Option to download a full site so you don't have to do them individually. Option to include Preview and outro markers. Option to exclude said preview and outro sections..

App has been extremely unreliable for the past few years on many websites. Looooong periods where it simply won't work or throws errors, then an update comes out and it'll work for a few weeks or maybe months, then the process repeats.

Sadly this seems to happen with all of the video download tools out there so this may as much due to malicious coding efforts of the video hosters than the design of this addon, but the user experience is frustrating enough to warrant a low star rating.

On old machine slow down sites like youtube, be careful. Only firefox version is "free"

Viele Videos die bis vor kurzem vom Downlaodhelper angezeigt wurden werden aktuell nicht mehr angezeigt als möglicher Download.
Deshalb meine Bewertung von 5 auf 2 herunter gebracht.
Das betrifft vorallem Youtube-Videos !!

I have bought the premium version to make it easier and more proficient hovewer there is no big difference vs the free version. The biggest disapppointment was that in the paid version there is no bulk download: no possible to use csv file, no way to autamate the process.
Also quite often it doesn't recogniese media file (sometimes the mozilla exetnsion says there is no media while you are able to download it on the chrome extension).
Recently it stopped recongizing the YB videos too. No point for buying the pro version.

This is not working on YT and some specific streaming webs.

Giant QR code watermark makes any video basically unusable, I understand needing to be able to monetize a product, but at the cost of a solid 5 seconds I can just use another application- maybe adding a daily limit would be a somewhat reasonable compromise.

It is easy to use, but downloading from YouTube is slow. It should allow to select different levels of resolution. Lower resolution downloads should be free and without QR code.

"This operation requires an external application to be completed." - Yeah, no. Absolutely not. If your add-on makes my virus-scam-spider senses tingling, that's a uninstall.

Funktioniert grundsätzlich, aber die Update Meldung nervte schon immer und so langsam sollten die Macher mal erwachsen werden!
zu den unmöglichsten Gelegenheiten geht die Erweiterung mit dem Seitenaufruf auf den Sack!

This used to be an incredible 5 star extension. Sadly over the years it has become increasingly dated and a poor performer. There is an odd, possibly caching issue, where if you close a tab Firefox freezes while Video DownloadHelper does something.

Used to work very well. But not anymore, unfortunately. It doesn't support any well-known sites anymore. I've been using it for downloading from YouTube and many other sites. Not anymore. Still hoping it will be repaired someday.

For months, I've been trying to get this to work. Even got the pro version. Used to work fine. If I attach the icon to a tab, It says 'generating link.' Link never appears. What's up?
