Aviso de privacidad para quickSession
quickSession por Computerica.ro
This Privacy Policy applies to the quickSession browser extension on all supported platforms, including Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, other Chromium-based browsers, and Mozilla Firefox.
Overview
quickSession is a browser extension that lets you save, manage, and restore browser tab sessions using your browser's built-in bookmark system. This policy explains what data the extension accesses, how it is used, and how it is stored.
In short: quickSession works entirely offline. All your data stays in your browser. The extension does not collect, transmit, or sell any personal information.
Data the Extension Accesses
quickSession accesses the following data solely to provide its core functionality:
Tab information — URLs and titles of your open tabs, used to save your current session as bookmarks.
Bookmarks — used to store, organize, rename, search, delete, import, and export your saved sessions.
Extension local storage — used to save your preferences, including theme, sort order, pinned sessions, highlighted sessions, naming convention, and the favicon toggle.
How Your Data Is Stored
All session data is stored locally in your browser's bookmark system. Extension preferences are stored using your browser's built-in storage sync API (chrome.storage.sync on Chromium, browser.storage.sync on Firefox), which may sync preferences across your signed-in devices through your browser account.
No data is ever sent to or stored on any external server controlled by the developer.
Google Favicon Service (Optional)
quickSession includes an optional feature that displays website icons (favicons) next to your saved bookmarks. When this feature is enabled, the extension requests icons from Google's Favicon API (https://www.google.com/s2/favicons).
Only the domain name is sent (e.g., example.com) — no full URLs, page titles, session names, or personal information.
This feature is enabled by default but can be disabled at any time in the extension's Options page.
When disabled, no requests are made to any external service and the extension operates fully offline.
Google's handling of data received through their Favicon API is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
Data Collection and Sharing
quickSession does not:
Collect any personal information
Track your browsing activity
Use analytics, telemetry, or tracking tools
Display advertisements
Sell, transfer, or share your data with any third party
Store any data on external servers
Use data for personalized advertising
Use data to determine creditworthiness or for lending purposes
Permissions Used
The extension requests the following browser permissions:
Permission Why it is needed
tabs To read URLs and titles of your open tabs when saving a session
bookmarks To create, read, update, and delete bookmarks that store your sessions
storage To save your extension preferences (theme, sort order, pinned/highlighted sessions, favicons, naming convention)
Chrome Web Store — Limited Use Disclosure
quickSession's use of information received from Chrome browser APIs adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements:
Data is used only to provide the session management functionality described in the store listing.
Data is not transferred to third parties, except for domain names sent to Google's Favicon API when the optional favicon feature is enabled.
Data is not used for purposes unrelated to the extension's single purpose.
Humans do not read your data.
Firefox Add-ons — Data Practices Disclosure
In accordance with Mozilla Add-on Policies:
quickSession does not collect any user data. The data_collection_permissions in the Firefox manifest declares "none".
The only optional network request is to Google's Favicon API when the favicon feature is enabled (see above).
All extension functionality works offline when favicons are disabled.
Data Retention
Your session data persists in your browser's bookmarks until you choose to delete it. Extension preferences persist in browser storage until you uninstall the extension or clear them manually. No data is retained externally by the developer.
Children's Privacy
quickSession does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age of consent in your jurisdiction).
Changes to This Policy
If this Privacy Policy is updated, the changes will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of the extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
