Scam

I created an account here just to rate Honey. Fuck Honey and PayPal. Fuck Elon (I know he's no longer part of PayPal, still fuck him).

This is straight up criminal. This app not only makes sure to absolutely destroy small businesses. they also force non-participating shops by keep codes hostage that honey straight up stole.

As numerous people before wrote, honey steals money from affiliate links! Even if they dont find a deal they overwrite your cookie to claim the money!

Kindly do not use this extension. There is too many dark patterns and data stealing.

Whenever Honey had first entered the zeitgeist I gave them a chance hoping for a decent coupon finder. Every time I attempted to find coupons with the extension it would scan, then tell me it found nothing, after it had promised there were infact coupons available. Thanks to the investigative journalism by MegaLag, we now know that was almost certainly a complete scam, telling you there were coupons when there were not Active coupons, but at the time I thought it was simply a useless extension and a waste. I uninstalled it and never looked back.

Well, dodged a bullet there, ay! What a sleazy piece of code.

3) It has code to detect whether someone is coming from a test account, affiliate user, or whether someone is a new honey account (Think VW Dieselgate).
4) Honey claims that millions of codes are scanned, but this is not the case
5) It takes coupons down
