SnapGlow hides sensitive details on a web page before you take a screenshot or share your screen, then turns the capture into a clean, framed image.

Everything runs on your device. Pages, captures and redacted text are never uploaded, and there's no account to create.

Redact before you capture

• One click blurs email addresses, API keys and tokens, money amounts, card numbers, phone numbers, IP addresses, UUIDs and IBANs in the page itself.
• Click any element to blur it by hand, or edit text in place before you capture.
• Four styles: frosted blur, pixel mosaic, solid bar, and Dots, which swaps letters and digits for • so the original characters never reach the image.
• Add your own words and patterns, choose sites that are always redacted, and sites that are never scanned.

Safer screen sharing

• Live Shield redacts every tab before it paints, including tabs you switch to mid-call.
• It turns on automatically when you start sharing your screen in a browser-based meeting or recording tool, such as Google Meet or Zoom on the web.
• Hold Alt and hover to peek at one item without turning the shield off.
• Press Alt+Shift+4 to drop a privacy curtain over every tab at once.

Capture and Studio

• Capture a region, a single element, the visible tab or the full scrolling page.
• Studio adds a background, padding, a window frame and a shadow, and exports sharp PNGs at up to 2x.
• Annotate with blur and pixelate boxes, redaction bars, highlights, arrows and numbered steps, with undo and redo.
• Copy the image to your clipboard or save it as a PNG.

Free and Pro

Free includes Click-to-Blur, every capture mode, Studio with two starter backgrounds and the privacy curtain. Free exports carry a small corner watermark.

Pro is a one-time purchase for up to 3 browsers: one-click auto-redaction, custom words and patterns, Live Shield with automatic share detection, Domain Shield, the Dots style, inline text editing, all 20 backgrounds and no watermark.

Privacy and permissions

SnapGlow only reads a page when you open it there with the toolbar button or a shortcut. Domain Shield asks for access to one site when you turn it on for that site; Live Shield asks for access to all sites when you turn it on. Free users send nothing anywhere. Pro sends your license key to our payment provider to activate and check the license, and Firefox asks for your consent before the first activation.

Shortcuts: Alt+Shift+1 opens the toolbar, Alt+Shift+2 captures the visible tab, Alt+Shift+3 captures the full page, Alt+Shift+4 drops the privacy curtain. On Mac, use Control+Shift+1/2/3/4. You can change them in your browser's extension shortcut settings.

Firefox runs add-ons in private windows only if you allow it in the add-on's settings.
