Sobre esta extensión
Sometimes one goes on Facebook to answer a message and ends up scrolling the feed or reels, or maybe you go on LinkedIn looking for a job but you spend 30 minutes scrolling the feed instead, or you are watching a video on YouTube to learn an instrument but the recommended videos are too tempting and 3 hours later you're watching an orangutan driving a golf cart.

Well, not anymore !

With Feed Holiday you are able to block the feeds and distracting elements from the websites you use, create schedules to automatically block them on certain days or hours, set up a confirmation code to type in when you try to change the popup's settings or completely block elements "forever" so you don't even have to worry about them anymore.

Because willpower is never enough when big corps spend millions on researching how to break it, the simplest solution is to just hide them.

You can't be tempted by something you can't see!

Features:
  • Hide or display Feeds / Elements via the popup's toggles.
  • Confirmation Code: Add a random confirmation code to type in when you try to display hidden content. This creates just enough friction to avoid mindlessly clicking "Show" on something you don't want.
  • Holiday (Schedules): Create as many Schedules as you want with custom settings. Create one that hides elements for when you need to work, another that blocks feeds before bedtime, etc.
  • Always hide: Make certain feeds or elements Always Hidden and remove them from the popup.

Supported websites:
  • Facebook
  • Reddit
  • LinkedIn
  • Hacker News
  • YouTube

Future release:

Made this extension for myself first, so supported websites are the ones I use, but:
- I will add support for other websites including: Instagram, Twitter/X, Bluesky... Happy to hear recommendations on elements.
- I will work on adding translations in as many languages as possible.
- I might add the possibility to completely block a website; I don't really have the use for it but this could fit the extension's goals.

Data & privacy
  • Page access permissions are only used to inject CSS that hides the Feeds / Elements
  • No data is collected or transmitted to an external server: it's 100% on your computer
  • No account, no premium features: You get the full package.
  • 100% free forever (I made the extension for myself, just sharing it because why not)
