Sobre esta extensión
Ammit — named after the Egyptian devourer of unworthy souls — keeps
AI-generated artists out of your listening sessions on YouTube Music and the
Spotify Web Player.
WHAT IT DOES
• Recognizes AI-generated artists while you listen and skips their tracks
automatically. Skipping is the default action — nothing destructive happens
unless you ask for it.
• Shows a small crocodile badge next to the player with a verdict for the
current artist: blocked, AI, unsure, human, or whitelisted.
• One click on the badge to block an artist or mark them "Not AI".
• A popup with the current track's verdict, your pending review list, and all
settings.
HOW DETECTION WORKS
• A curated blocklist of confirmed AI artists ships with the extension and is
refreshed periodically.
• An on-device heuristic scores public catalog metadata: release patterns and
catalog age, audience size, real-world footprint (concerts, merchandise),
and presence in the MusicBrainz open music database. Established artists are
explicitly protected by veto rules.
• No audio analysis, no page scraping beyond the player you're looking at,
and your personal whitelist always wins.
YOU STAY IN CONTROL
• Default is skip-only. An optional "full action" mode also dislikes the
track (YouTube Music) or bans the artist in your library (Spotify) so the
platform's own recommendations learn to avoid them.
• Automatic blocking from heuristic verdicts is opt-in; by default suspected
artists just land in a review list where you decide.
• Tracks you have liked or saved are never touched.
• A sensitivity slider tunes how aggressive detection is.
COMMUNITY (OPT-IN, OFF BY DEFAULT)
• You can opt in to contribute anonymous reports ("this artist is AI" /
"not AI") that help maintain the shared blocklist — think SponsorBlock, but
for AI music.
• Reports contain a random install identifier, the artist id, and public
catalog metadata. They never contain your identity, account data, or
listening history.
PRIVACY
• No analytics, no tracking, no account required.
• Network traffic is limited to the streaming platforms themselves, the
MusicBrainz API for artist lookups, and blocklist updates. Community
reporting only happens if you explicitly enable it.
