My Reviews

Tabs On Bottom

Perfect, and not a moment too soon Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Works just the way I expect it to. Thanks to this extension, I can continue making full use of my (Mac OS X) title bar. Some pages have titles over three words long, after all!

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.2).

Locationbar²

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I’ve relied on this extension for a long time. It works fine in the Firefox 4 betas, but the new link URL-on-hover feature isn’t supported. Thankfully, the Link Target Display extension [1] lets me keep Locationbar² around.[1] https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/55724/

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.0.5).

Link Target Display

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I wanted to keep using Locationbar² in Firefox 4.0b7 (after disabling compatibility checking), but it doesn’t support the new link URL-on-hover feature, so I’m really glad to find this extension.

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.6.1).

Silvermel

Gorgeous Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Thanks for continuing Alex’s great work. I’ve been waiting for a Charamel update for years now. As with Charamel, the graphics in this theme are gorgeous, and I especially like the whole hat motif. I also appreciate the tiled Downloads dialog and the custom icons for popular extensions such as Adblock Plus.

The only complaint I can think of is that, at least on the Mac, some parts of the Preferences window have scrollbars where they shouldn’t.

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.1.0_b2).

XPather

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

XPather highlights malformed XPath statements as you type them out – very helpful.

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.4.1).

Highlighter

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I like how this extension’s very simple. I don’t ever need to save the highlighting; for that, there are other extensions.

Vietnamese Portable

Broken Rated 2 out of 5 stars

This extension is completely broken in Mac OS X: it isn’t even possible to turn on input editing, because the status bar panel doesn’t show up and Alt+ keyboard shortcuts are used by the operating system. Vietnamese Portable also doesn’t have as many features as the other extensions here (AVIM and Mudim).
