My Reviews

NewScrollbars (aka NoiaScrollbars)

Well thought out and very customizable Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I've been using this add-on for about six months and it's been working flawlessly. Using a relatively bland Mac color theme, the whatever-color-you-want scrollbar stands out for easy mouse grabbing. Short wish list... ability to select scroll direction.

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.2.3).

Grab and Drag

I'm addicted to this great add-on, but now the cursor disappears with YouTube. Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I've been using this wonderful add-on for years (Mac OS)... to the point where I feel hobbled when using a different browser. However, a few Firefox versions back from 38.0.5, I my cursor disappeared when using YouTube. I don't know if it's caused by Firefox or YouTube or both, but it sure is a problem and the only way that I have found to get my cursor back is to disable Grab & Drag... and that's a major drag.

If anyone has run into the same problem and found a work-around, please post it.

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (3.2.5.2.1-signed.1-signed).

Clear Cache Button

Add-on abandoned? Rated 1 out of 5 stars

It looks like Chris has abandoned Clear Cache. Mozilla should remove it from the Add-On list.

Blur

Pros and Cons Rated 3 out of 5 stars

The phone masking (great idea!) and email masking work well. The credit card masking concept is a good one, and works well (except the cardholder "auto-fill" which always needs manual correction), but I have had a problem with it being accepted by most of the merchants that I have tried. One major international merchant canceled my order without telling me, and it was a gift. Support was okay when they were Do Not Track Me, but since becoming "Blur", there is no support email, phone or online chat that I could find on their site. What a shame, especially after I liked DNTM enough to pay for the "Premium" subscription.
