Getting the icon to appear Rated 4 out of 5 stars
I was able to get the icon to appear for SeaMonkey by replacing chrome.manifest with the one from version 2.0.
Internal name Rated 3 out of 5 stars
Version 1.1 of this theme had 3 internal names set. One was in the chrome.manifest and two were in install.rdf. It does not work if you do it that way. The internal name has to be consistent between those two files, and there is no point in putting more than one internal name line in install.rdf. That file works better with a different format anyway. The first time I modified it, I copied the format from the theme Early Blue, and that still works. This user has 2 previous reviews of this add-on.
Rated 3 out of 5 stars
Why not make this extension available to SeaMonkey users? It works in SeaMonkey if one can get it to install. There is a converter now which was able to modify the install files to do that.
Needs internal name Rated 3 out of 5 stars
There needs to be an internal name set up in install.rdf and chrome.manifest, otherwise it turns into a clone of SeaMonkey Modern when one updates the application. This is what I did in install.rdf to give it one:
In chrome.manifest, I put the name into each line that begins with "skin"; for example:
skin messenger graymodern chrome/modern/skin/modern/messenger/
Toolbar buttons Rated 3 out of 5 stars
How about making the backgrounds for the toolbar buttons transparent? I think they would look better. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.0).
Per tab session only? Rated 4 out of 5 stars
Why is Flashblock now working per tab session and not per element? If I open a new page at the same site with a new video on the same tab, the placeholder does not appear. I have to open the new page in a new tab for the block to happen. It used not to work that way. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (184.108.40.206-signed).
Needs bumping up Rated 4 out of 5 stars
This extension still works. I had to bump up the max version for the installer to get it to install in SeaMonkey 2.21. That is all the updating it needs so far.
Bump up to SeaMonkey 2.21 Rated 4 out of 5 stars
This extension works with SeaMonkey 2.21, but I had to bump up the max version to get it to install.
It would be nice if the list of fake user agents included the other parameters that can be entered into the editor other than just the UA string for the browser's header.
Rated 4 out of 5 stars
This works in SeaMonkey 2.21, so why not list it as compatible with it? I had to bump up the max version in the install file to get it to install. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.8.16.1-signed).
Button needs a tooltip Rated 4 out of 5 stars
The button really needs a tooltip to identify it. I was able to add one, but it would be nice to have one built in.
This does work in SeaMonkey Rated 4 out of 5 stars
Click-to-play was changed completely in Firefox, but not in SeaMonkey. Fortunately, on-demand plugins are working the same way in SeaMonkey (per item).
This extension still does exactly what it says it does: it toggles click-to-play and reloads the page.
Rated 4 out of 5 stars
Why was the target app setup for SeaMonkey disabled in install.rdf? This extension works in SeaMonkey. I removed the comment markers from the install file, bumped up the max version, and got it to install.
Use in SeaMonkey Rated 4 out of 5 stars
Why not set this extension to install into SeaMonkey as well as Firefox? It works in SeaMonkey, but I had to tweak the install.rdf file and the chrome.manifest to get it to install.
Spyware! Forget it. Rated 1 out of 5 stars
This add-on now wants to force users to allow information about their activities to be sent out. That is spyware.
Luckily, there are two other extensions that can do the same kind of thing and which are not spyware. One is "Blocksite Plus" (under the circumstances, perhaps an unfortunate name choice) and the other is "URL n Extension Block".
What's wrong with the checkboxes? Rated 2 out of 5 stars
in Firefox 15, the checkboxes in the clear history window from the Tools menu are completely dead.
Update: I finally found the cause of the problem. The sanitize box apparently has a listbox, and the listbox.css file did not list any checkmark images, so they did not appear.
To the rescue! Rated 5 out of 5 stars
I really did not like Thunderbird's arbitrarily moving the tabs above the toolbar without providing any way to turn that off. Rise of the Tools comes to the rescue and provides the means of getting the appearance of the window back to what I consider normal. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (220.127.116.11).
Validation? Rated 3 out of 5 stars
The validation for HTML seems to be slower than before? This review is for a previous version of the add-on (18.104.22.168-signed).
Rated 2 out of 5 stars
I think the text on that grey background is very hard to read. If it were bright yellow, it would be easy to read. Disabled items could have red text, which would still be readable but would not stand out so much.
The screenshot does not make it clear what the black area in the window is. Is that a tab or something else?
Rated 4 out of 5 stars
Great. Please, please, update this for Thunderbird 3.1.This review is for a previous version of the add-on (3.0.0).
Rated 1 out of 5 stars
This version does not work. The previous version would give a whole window full of links with different quality of videos on YouTube. This one gives nothing. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2.025).
