HabuL

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

If you want it to work for new versions of Thunderbird, go to View>Toolbars>Customize and drag the "Report" button to a toolbar.

Works great. Thanks!

Firefox Sync for Firefox 3.5/3.6

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Thank you Mozilla for making this free-as-in-freedom software, so now I know what I'm running!

It didn't used to work, but works really well now. Highly recommend it.

BTW, your sync key *should* be long and hard to remember, as it harder for bad guys to crack it.

Great addon!

FlashVideoReplacer

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

In my tests on my Fedora 13 machine (using Totem), I have found FlashVideoReplacer an excellent free-as-in-freedom alternative to having to use proprietary Flash player constantly. FVR was pretty fast on YouTube and Vimeo, playing videos so perfectly that for a few moments, I was sure I had somehow disabled it. Sometimes it would lag, or not even start, but I love how I can just pop it open in a separate player, or even download the video with FlashGot. (Refreshing the webpage often fixes the not playing problem!) However those lags were pretty rare. It might take a second or two to start, but that's really not much of a wait compared to Flash crashes and Youtube's often buggy HTML5 player.

But I was *much* more impressed with the higher quality of the videos (when set to high.) The videos that I have watched with FVR really looked a lot better than without it.

My one suggestion is for non-Flash support (in other words, not requiring to lug Flash around.) I sometimes use Gnash, which works okay, but usually I have to open videos up in an external player for it to play. Not that big of a deal, but it would be great if that could be changed so it gets the video independently.

I still hope that HTML5 becomes more popular than Flash, but in the meantime this is a really good addon, probably one of the best this year. Great job and keep up the good work! :-)

(EDIT: LOL, I think I got a bit confused there: it's a replacer, not a converter. :D)

GoogleSharing

Glad to see the shorter logo option and Google Translate bug fixed! I'm very surprised that this add-on isn't more popular. Excellent work!

EDIT: Sorry. I thought there was a big problem with the referrer being sent to the receiving site. Apparently that isn't an issue though, as Google blocks the sent referrer when you use SSL. (See https://encrypted.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&q=what%27s+my+referer+test) It does *not* though if you use the regular search (like GImages, which has no SSL version. See this search: http://tinyurl.com/2cudpc7) As a future possible fix for non-SSL, I would suggest GS proxy connections to *and* from Google.

Excellent theme! Works very well, unlike some other themes out there. No compatibility problems at all.

And thanks to the developer for replying on my last review. :D

Great addon, but perhaps you could add a secure delete option?

NoScript Security Suite

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I've never really liked NoScript and it's annoying bar (I've always used AdBlock) but after hearing about new support for protection against MITM attacks, I thought "Why not?"
I really am impressed by the increased speed of Firefox, but also the ease of use of the addon (I finally turned off that annoying bar for NoScript that pops up at the bottom of the screen!)
At first, it messed up a couple websites, I thought. But when I turned off NoScript, the website crashed Firefox due to an "unresponsive script". And whenever I used the WayBack machine, Firefox always crashed. But now, NoSript automatically fixes it.
I still recommend AdBlock and GoogleSharing, but thanks for making me a NoScript user!

(By the way, to people complaining about NS "phoning home", think about that the next time you use Facebook and Chrome, which does the exact same thing. I trust Giorgio Maone 100%.)

GoogleSharing

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Great add-on!

New version of Google Sharing still doesn't have a shorter logo. The last version (.18) reviewer Bennypal altered the code and offered it up. So I have decided there ought to be a shorter logo for this version as well: http://www.fileden.com/files/2010/4/1/2813701//googlesharing-0.19-fx.xpi

Download it, then drag and drop it into Firefox.

(Don't worry, there aren't any viruses.)

(Note: The credit file in there [ShorterLogo.txt] says Mithrandir altered the code for this version, and not MithrandirAgain. That's because Mithrandir was already taken here on addons.mozilla.org. Thanks!)
