FF36, Foobar 2.1.1. I tried recreating a bookmark with keyword as suggested here, http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?f=38&t=2908241&p=14041535. I also always use a space after keywords as suggested in the thread, but neither worked. 2.0.1 still works on FF36 so I'm using it. Bookmark keywords are working with it.This user has a previous review of this add-on.
Fabulous add-on, just one question. Is there a way to automatically clear Search when you close the sidebar? In version 0.7.24, a duplicate "close" button was removed from the sidebar header. This icon cleared Search and closed the sidebar. Now there doesn't seem to be a way to do it, at least that I can find.
Great add-on. Many more options than most of the others I've tried, and for this reason it was a little daunting at first. But well worth the time to learn how to use it. Can download and convert to an impressive number of formats.
I've only had one issue. For high quality MP4s it's supposed to merge audio and video after the download's complete, but it's not working for some reason (5.6.17). I'm using XP (no .NET) with "Hide console window" unticked per the instructions, and a recent version of ffmpeg, so not sure what the problem is.
Would recommend as first choice.
I was using FF31 so updated to FF36 and it's working great now. I think part of the problem was my own fault. Sometimes after the download starts I close the browser and just watch the download window. I've got it set to close the download window automatically when the download completes, so after the download finishes and the window closes, the FF process quits and CYS can't run. Duh!
It works where Video Download Helper sometimes fails. My one wish is that it had a way to specify an external downloader or at least a way to copy URLs so they could be added to an external downloader. It can be done by starting the download in FF, then right-click the download and copy the link, but it's a little more trouble. VDH's a lot easier to use and more flexible, but it's good to have an alternative because VDH doesn't work on some websites. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.97.34).
I love this add-on but I really wish there was a way to hide the editor when not in use. If it can be done I can't figure it out. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.5.11). This user has a previous review of this add-on.
Love this add-on. So far it's doing everything I want it to. A lot easier to use than the old Menu Editor add-on. Thanks! This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2.01).
Been using it for quite awhile and love it, but I wish there was a way to only install the main theme without PDF.js and about:home. I don't need them and have to uninstall them every time I update. A minor inconvenience but it gets old after awhile. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (4.2.2). This user has a previous review of this add-on.
Updated to 2.1 today and I'm also having problems with keyword searches from address bar. Keywords from "Manage search engines" works okay, only those from bookmarks don't work. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2.1).
Just installed on Firefox 31 and it works great.
Would it be possible in the future to make it automatically close blank tabs opened for blocked sites?
Appreciate the add-on.
To update my earlier review, this add-on doesn't like to clear its favicons once its created them, on XP with Firefox 31.
I tried everything and eventually had to use a backup profile to get everythng back to normal.
The icons generated by the add-on are nice, but if you ever want to change it back, be forewarned.
Very nice for what it is. Generates favicons automatically or can override default favicons for selected sites. Would be perfect if it had option to create custom favicons.
On FF 18.0.2, TF makes the go button in the URL bar disappear. Doesn't do it on FF 3.6.28. Didn't test any other versions. If I disable TF, the go button comes back, but when I re-enable TF it disappears again. I tested with all other add-ons disabled except TF but still no go button. A great theme overall though, thank you!Update: I tried TF 2.7 on the portable FF 18.0.2 and it's all good now. I'll try it on the installed version of FF when I get home and report back if there's a problem, but it should be fine now.
Update2: Got home and it still did it, so I played around and figured out you have to leave the reload button, to the right of the URL bar, alone. I reinstalled FF and left it where it was this time and all is working fine.
Problem solved, toolbar Buttons has a config setting that forces about:config to open in a new tab. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.1.3). This user has a previous review of this add-on.
This is definitely a nice add-on. I like the option to auto-close unintentional blank tabs. Tabs Mix Plus could supposedly be customized to prevent unintentional blank tabs but it never has really worked very good. This is a nice alternative.
My only wish is that it would open toolbar buttons in a new tab. For example, I use a lot of toolbar buttons from the TBB add-on, and whenever I click the one for about:config it opens in the current tab. Maybe there's already a way to make it open in a new tab but I haven't been able to figure it out.
It's still not working for me in FF4 with Windows Vista.
Just installed, seems to be working perfectly in Vista. Thanks a lot.
This is one I definitely hope gets an update. I think it would look really nice in FF4. Forcing compatibility doesn't work for this theme. Everything gets screwed up.This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.36.20100916).
Yes, I too hope an update for FF4 is in the offing. This user has 3 previous reviews of this add-on.
For some reason the toolbar icon in 1.4 doesn't seem compatible with the Modern Modoki 3.07 theme. I'm talking about the one you get from the Customize Toolbar window. I can drag it to the toolbar and it inserts itself with no problem but all you see is a blank space. It works and everything, you just can't see it. I resorted to "Show in menu bar" but it doesn't seem as handy as the other one, which opens the sidebar with only a click. I have another profile which uses the Simple Green theme and it's okay. I tried an icon repair but that didn't help. This is only a minor inconvenience though in an otherwise outstanding add-on, but I think I'll go back to 1.3.7 for now. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.4.1).
Good idea for an add-on. Thank you! This review is for a previous version of the add-on (184.108.40.206).
