Classic Reloaded

Great Add On Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Love this add on and have been using it for a while. When Thunderbird updated to V12 this add on no longer worked. Hope the dev updates this but for now I basically forced thunderbird to accept the add on. Works like a charm with v12 with just one little trick.found here:

http://www DOT ghacks DOT net/2011/01/23/how-to-force-extension-compatibility-in-thunderbird/

The line you want to add is
extensions.checkCompatibility.12.0
It is a Boolean and the value is False

New tab toolbar button

Works good. The only small gripe is the image is not the same as the default Firefox version and it opens into a blank page. Both were an easy fix. Just use Photoshop or other program to change the icons and notepad to change the blank page.

Icon fix:
1. Right click and save the file to your HDD.
2. Use 7zip or other and extract the file.
3. Navigate to the "chrome" directory and locate the files "newtab.png" and "image,png" (this 2nd one not as important)
4. Open those files in Photoshop or other and change the color(s) to what you want.

What I did was I took a screen shot of my browser with the DEFAULT FIREFOX NEW TAB BUTTON MOVED from the tab bar to the button bar and pasted in PAINT. Then I copied the default FF new tab button and pretty much pasted it into the files above using Photoshop. You need to size and do some erasing and stuff but it's very easy. The image you need to fix is "NEWTAB.PNG" (it's a icon of 4 folders) the other file is basically just used when you click see add-ons.

Google Default Page fix:
1. Right click and save the file to your HDD.
2. Use 7zip or other and extract the file.
3. Navigate to the "chrome" directory and use notepad to open "newtab.js"

4. CHANGE THIS LINE: var tab = document.getElementById("content").addTab("about:blank");
TO READ: var tab = document.getElementById("content").addTab("http://www.google.com/");

5. SAVE and exit notepad

If you use the the Firefox 3 look in FF4 I've done the work:
Replace one or all 3 files in the chrome directory with the files in the link. REMOVE the spaces

A BIG BIG Thank you to the Dev of this add-on and you can use these files in an update if you want.
