Alternative Rated 5 out of 5 stars

This addon was a great help to me for many years! Thanks!

For those looking for a lightweight e10s compatible replacement, there is a

Grab and Drag & e10s Rated 5 out of 5 stars

This has been one of the most useful add-ons to date, in my opinion, hence the 5-stars rating, as it greatly increases the flexibility of scrolling and allows to adapt that to your personal preferences, especially if you don't like FF's built-in autoscroll functionality - I've never liked clicking the middle mouse button ever since mouse manufacturer merged it with the scrolling wheel, which is fine, but pressing the wheel really feels odd to me.

As long as you don't enable e10s (Electrolysis, the multi-process architecture Mozilla's been working on since early 2009), Grab and Drag works fine even with FF 49, but it stops doing so completely when e10s is enabled.

If someone apt and skillful at these things would please adopt this add-on (or fork it into a new project, I suppose), that would be brilliant.

Great addon!
But it don't work on

Okay, it could be e10s Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I have used this extension since it was first released and I have send a lot of feedback to the devellopers at the time.

Since few months it was not working anymore so I just disabled it, but I cant use Firefox withouth. Coming on this page I see that it is because of e10s and indeed it seems that I started to see this bug since I upgraded and enabled this feature on Firefox.

So, I really hope that this will be fixed as this extension is one good extension for FF and why I continue to use this browser.

Waiting for update Rated 4 out of 5 stars

It was one of the most useful addons.
Hope for e10s update to use it again.

Needs to work with e10s Rated 4 out of 5 stars

I was about to drop a one star bomb and remove the thing, but the reviews before mine say its e10s that's causing it to not work. I loaded up a non-e10s window and saw that it works fine. Nicely, infact. I've used alternatives, but the options you provide definitely make it the superior version. Fix compatibility and I'll reenable it to use daily and update this review to 5 stars.

e10s ? Rated 5 out of 5 stars

It seems it doesn't support e10s but since e10s is disabled on my profile, I couldn't say if it still properly works despite that.

I hope it will be compliant with future firefox release. I love it. Do you plan to update it?

Thanks for all the work Rated 5 out of 5 stars

For me this is one of the most useful plugins I have. Easy scrolling with my middle mouse button emulating normal scroll bar is just amazing. I can't imagine working without it and yet, its author says that the plugin will be no longer developed :(. I just downgraded from Firefox beta version 44 just to make this plugin work again.

I understand that it's hard to find time to support plugin project started many years ago, on the other hand, many people depends on it now.

I don't see any Donate button here and I would like to contribute small amount as a gratitude for a many years of my increased productivity.

great for mouse scrolling Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Don't be fooled into thinking this is only for touch interfaces. I LOVE using this to scroll web pages and even images. I've used it for maybe a year, but since installing Ubuntu I've only just now reinstalled it. It's not as good as Google Earth's scrolling algorithm for momentum because it only either carries horizontally or vertically, not both, but it's a darn bit better than using scroll bars. I can't believe this functionality is not already in the browsers!!!!!! And I like it so much it's hard to go without it in other programs. I understand not every program is equally suitable, but I think it's underestimated too.

EDIT: Some commenters say it doesn't work on youtube for them. It works ok for me.

But I do have trouble sometimes getting momentum to work in different places. I was able to fix most of it by changing hte settings. It's not really bad anyway. It's still very reliable and highly recommended.

Btw I'm using Firefox 41.0.2. This is what Kubuntu uses. I don't choose the version.

I just LOVE this add-on Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Greatest Add-On ever made for Firefox, but has "disappearing cursor" on Youtube Rated 5 out of 5 stars

This is my favourite Add-on and arguably the best ever made for Firefox. I have the same "disappearing cursor" problem too when playing Youtube or video clips. The only way to get the cursor is to restart Firefox. I really don't want to have to give up on this Add-On. If anyone has a solution, please share. I have tried various settings but it doesn't seem to make a difference. Your help is much appreciated.

I'm addicted to this great add-on, but now the cursor disappears with YouTube. Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I've been using this wonderful add-on for years (Mac OS)... to the point where I feel hobbled when using a different browser. However, a few Firefox versions back from 38.0.5, I my cursor disappeared when using YouTube. I don't know if it's caused by Firefox or YouTube or both, but it sure is a problem and the only way that I have found to get my cursor back is to disable Grab & Drag... and that's a major drag.

If anyone has run into the same problem and found a work-around, please post it.

Good but... Rated 3 out of 5 stars

Momentun feater doesn't work well. (windows 8.1)

Rated 2 out of 5 stars

The only reason I need this is for a touchscreen, but it is pretty useless for scrolling down a page because neither its momentum nor multiplier features actually work on a touchscreen apparently. (Please add support in future releases.)

(The flick feature likewise appears not to work on a touchscreen, but that wouldn't be suitable for my wrists anyway.)
