Ditto sir ToniCipriani's "Nothing in the context menu, and attempting to add that to the toolbar will cause entire bar to be messed up." EXCEPT.. I DO have context menu as expected here, both page & link that seems intuitively offered (kudos), BUT it is playing havoc with Firefox 29's new toolbar system though? It seems as if it was designed as 'small toolbar button' on old Firefox toolbar layouts and somehow forces its button presence in navigation / location toolbar AND all buttons in toolbar shared to be collapsed and almost indiscernible states?
Love this & used it hourly many days; hoping for prompt resolve?

Does not work with version 29 Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Nothing in the context menu, and attempting to add that to the toolbar will cause entire bar to be messed up.

Does exactly what it says (and what I'd been looking for!), without any sort of problems on the toolbar. I'm using OS 10.8, perhaps that's why? Great job!

Simple and Great! Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Works great, would like to be able to log into my goo.gl account however so they are saved to my history. Also an button for the address bar would be nice :)

Both of those features are coming in a future version

Nasty Bug in FF4 Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Giving this one star because it has a pretty bad bug. When you go to a page that has a popup such as

Click on the product image which pops up a new window.

Then click the [X] to close the window it closes but asks if you want to close all tabs as if you clicked the main browsers close [X] button (note that I am referring to the browser close not the close button on the page).

I have verified that this is the add-on causing this issue for me because I disabled all add-ons and tried each one on its own. Please advise if you can/will fix this ASAP or I will have to stick by my 1 star and uninstall.

I tried to replicate the bug in Firefox 4.0.1 on Windows XP and Windows 7. I was unsuccessful.Perhaps something else is wrong, I would try testing the bug on a fresh Firefox Profile. Could you also provide what OS and version of Firefox you are using?

EDIT: This may be a problem with the Jetpack SDK itself (looks like it might be binding incorrectly to the browser window). I will do some more research as to what the problem is.

IMHO this is worse remake of 'goo.gl lite' add-on. Unlike 'goo.gl lite' this add-on has icon (instead of button), so it's not possible to place it into the Navigation bar correctly.

This is nearly the greatest add-on for Firefox. Needs ability to sign-in to goo.gl to keep track of generated URL's. Add that and I give it the final 5th star!

big bug Rated 4 out of 5 stars

This add-on is great but I just found a big bug.

When 2 windows are open (not 2 tabs, I really mean windows), then clicking on the "copy goo.gl url" icon generates a short url for the active tab in the _first_ window, even when we click on the icon in the second window !

Hope this can be easily fixed...

Thanks for the heads up, I will try to get this fixed in a future version.

A problem Rated 5 out of 5 stars

After install this add-on, the add-on bar will always show when I restart Firefox. I need to close the bar by myself every time.

-- Thanks for the reply. So are there any workaround to it? Closing the bar everytime is really annoying. I think the function in context menu is alrealy enough for me.

-- OK, I think "minimize add-on bar" can temporary solve this problem for me now. But this should be fixed by Mozilla.

This is how Firefox 4 works. Whenever an addon is added to the addon bar, the addon bar will stay open.
Perhaps you should suggest to Mozilla to keep the addon bar closed if the user closes it.

Very nice addon Rated 5 out of 5 stars

This is wonderful! The only thing I can complain about is the toolbar button seems to be problematic and will mess up other buttons. I can use context menu though. Great work! :D

Can you tell me exactly how it is messing with your other addon buttons?

The most simple and usagle addon I've recently seen Rated 5 out of 5 stars

That's exactly what I was looking for, clean and simple, tested and works under Linux with FF4. Developed with Jetpack, so no restart is required :) /happy.

The best goo.gl, or any url shortener, add-on there is. No stupid popup toolbar telling you something has been copied. Goes right to your clipboard. Simple and perfect.
