Nice! You guys should do it like I do with AutoHotkey.
CTRL + V once
CTRL + V twice within 175ms
= Paste + Enter
I've used this before, however, I suggest Greasemonkey many of the user scripts are updated often and offer access to far more sites. Plus, they're easier to edit since you don't have to go into the xpi or the extracted folder depending on the extension.
My suggestion to SS would be a setup like Autopager allowing users to submit custom settings for any site allowing other users to detect those settings and use them themselves. Not only does that save time from the request, but it eliminates the need to even add new sites since the users will be doing it for you. I've added at least 500 sites to AP from forums to blogs and even sites that did not need it. Offer a way to add new pages easy then offer Regular Expression for advanced options so power users can add sites that might not be so easy to add.
If you guys did that this add-on would be truly kick ass, actually more, but I've censored myself. ;)
You sir kick ass! Awesome add-on!
Very nice! There is not much I can really say the name says it all already.
Try installing it on a clean Firefox profile with no add-ons except UI Fixer if it works you'll know one of your add-ons is conflicting with it. If so it's just a matter of checking them one by one.
Press your windows key.
In the search box type " run " and press enter.
Paste this " firefox.exe -p " and hit enter no quotes.
Works great but would it be possible to actually preload the profile first to make it look almost seamless?
Maybe altering the one window mode then running it hidden until loaded then set it back.
Either way the add-on is great def worth trying if you change profiles a lot.
If you're having context menu issues with the sidebar do the following.
1. Disable the sidebar.
2. Uninstall your current version of UpdateBookmark
3. Go download the unsupported version "right click > save link as"
4. Open it in WinRAR whatever you're using.
5. Double click the file named install.rdf
6. Line 8 em:maxVersion="YOUR FF VERSION" />
7. Save the file and WinRAR will prompt you to update the file inside. "Click Yes"
8. Go back to your FireFox add-on tab and click the gear and choose "Install Add-on From File..."
9. Install UpdateBookmark again, but don't click restart yet.
10. Re-enable your sidebar then restart unless you want to do it twice lol.
You should have it with a search box then automatically inline the result page into a new frame on the page your on.
Like AutoPager I use it everywhere on forums, Google, email, ect but the option to add a custom inline search to any page would be great.
I know Liquid Words kind of does the same thing, but I'd rather have an actual inline instead of a popup.
Awesome! I don't need sandboxie anymore for FF related stuff! This shit works great! I can log multiple emails, gaming accounts, forums, proxies, and so much more!
Works as advertised and very good for casual users. I use JDownloader myself just because it's so damn functional. Still good job it's worth using for sure if you're looking for something that's reliable, easy, and fast. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.4.0).
If you wanted my wife I'd let you have her.
That's how awesome this add-on is.
It's pretty nice, but I had to strip the entire thing of all the crapware...
This add-on is one of my favorites, but there are a few things I'd like to see.
1. Location I've changed it manually myself but a GUI to do it would be great for everyone.
2. Ghosting shortcut key to click through it if necessary, which it is sometimes.
3. Non active transparency settings which I've managed to alter myself, but a GUI would be nice. :)
4. Stat based groups to sort by usage.
5. Skinnable background.
Even without it's still a 5* add-on that everyone should use.
Works very well but it needs a lot of improvement.
Note that any of these issues could be because of my personal settings. I've not tested it on a clean browser.
1. A indicator whether it's active or not. "Change the icon color when turned on."
2. An outline of the selected element border.
3. Site based perm removal options. Single page of the site or the entire domain.
Awesome add-on it's quick, doesn't lag, and organized very well.
I like the search engine change it was pretty annoying to have to change it to Google in code itself.
The only thing I do not get is why limit it at 50 max popular group? I upped mine to 200 with zero issues "which is in the fvd_settings.xul"
I guess it could slow down some older systems, but why not just leave a warning at let people set it to what they choose?
This is an excellent add-on it makes it so easy to find shit on any site. It's great for forum surfing, video sites, image sites, and everything in between.
The only thing I did not like about this was the icon, but I remade my own as I do with most of my add-ons.
Now I do have a suggestion for a feature I think would be nice.
Hover support to add a word under the mouse with a single key with no popups.
I'd make it myself if my coding skills were better heh.
Either way I love this add-on it's a must have! 5/5
It's nice but I had to add a lot of work to it for it to work how I wanted it and also the options to change to a delay instead of a key.
But the base idea is nice so thank you :)
Very useful add-on it declutters the default add-on page and replaces it with a nice aligned style! 5/5
I never liked the built in page, it was just too bulky and this fixes it! Thanks for the great tool!
This add-on is one of my most used tools but there is a feature I would greatly enjoy.
I know you can make the previews update every X but I would like to be able to add a custom refresh schedule based on the site.
For example a news site that updates throughout the day I would like to be able to set it to refresh every hour like so.
0600 to 1800 or maybe 0600 then 0700 then 0730 and so on.
Also a popup preview would be very cool or maybe a built in expansion.
Say I pick the first row and my 3rd save. Let it expand out and show the page in the dial tab without actually leaving it. Then have a option to collapse it or go ahead and open in a new tab or window ect.
I mean it's stuff everyone can live without but it would be convenient. "For me at least."
This is one of the best add-ons that exist and the sheer volume of scripts already made just makes it that much better. The possibilities are endless with GM. If you can think it you can do it! GM & Photoshop is the reason I started learning JS.
Also to the reviewer that says GM is slowing down FF you should check your scripts especially if you have anything that's adblock related or having to monitor page text.
Some of the scripts with sloppy coding can greatly reduce your browsers reaction time.
Still what other add-on can you have auto click your links by the page, edit the css, play video games for you, check your spelling, block ads, turn text into links, pop out your image previews, resize your video player, keep inactive tabs active, change tabs when a timed download is ready, change to the next page when you hit the bottom, merge all pages into one page, change the page colors, create a bazillion tools to embed into any site or have pop out always on top, and whatever else you can think off ALL IN ONE ADD-ON!
"Yes I know there are other add-ons like GM now but I don't care about them. :P"
I <3 GM! The 5 stars I give it just feels too low if you ask me.
