I do believe I'll add something more amusing later.
Abandoned? There are still outstanding bugs with respect to Stylish, but the author is no longer replying to the Stylish developer or updating the extension in any other visible way.
Originally a great idea, but there are many outstanding bugs and missing features, and development has stopped entirely.
Great add-on, but changes to print.tmp.* need to be whitelisted. Even after including .*:print\.tmp\..* in the whitelist, Preferences Monitor continues to create multiple alerts when printing.
The developer says that '.*' can't be used, even though it's a valid regex. Since 'print.tmp.*' is changed "by" the site you're attempting to print content from, it will have to be whitelisted in the extension itself. This happens regardless of whether the user invokes the print dialog manually or presses a "print" button on a page.
Excellent extension! This user has a previous review of this add-on.
Thanks so much! I was hoping someone had written an extension that would restore some control over animated GIFs.
Would love to see this developed further to place a smallish play/pause button overlay over animated GIFs, perhaps on mouse-over.
Amazingly useful! I've used this to diagnose misbehavior by "good" add-ons that try to change proxy settings invisibly, and other well-intentioned uses.
Would be nice to see regex matches made case-sensitive, but I'm keeping it either way.
Very useful and very attractive. Would be even better if you could control the maximum width (in icons) when the search bar isn't in use. ;)This review is for a previous version of the add-on (4.16).
Indispensable, and I've used it for years, but it no longer starts early enough to prevent multiple password prompts. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.3).
Needs to be generalized for more sites, doesn't work with FaviconizeTab, developer does not respond to support email address. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.13).
Incredibly useful. Can't believe this isn't part of Stylish already.
Is there a way to limit the number of backups kept, besides turning them off entirely?
Does anyone happen to know if this handles the new "mixed content" and "run plugins" icons correctly? I'm only seeing the one screenshot for HTTPS sites.
Would love to see icons for "View Source Chart", since that extension never got an icon at all...This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2.6).
Works relatively well, but surely it wouldn't have taken much effort to enable file push functionality directly in the addon. Will revise to 5 stars if this gets fixed. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.0).
The service and add-on themselves are fairly nice, with some occasional flaws where Firefox (with some help from Greasemonkey) is actually better at form detection. Unfortunately, LastPass are not, apparently, bothering to keep the AMO release up-to-date.
Half marks, rounding down.
I'm having to use Stylish and DOM Inspector to knock out unwanted context menu entries in Thunderbird. Updating install.rdf to indicate it does work (more or less...) up through at least Thunderbird 17 would be nice.
Is this being updated any more?
Seems to work very well, although I haven't tested regexes yet.Would be really, really great if you could close the FoxReplace bar with ESC (same as the Find bar); and if you could just press Enter/Return in the text fields to submit the find/replace job. Other than that, highly useful. Great stuff! This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.14.0).
Very good so far. I love the restartless addons, when I can get them.
I'd love to see a full set of options for faking agent strings for preset lists of sites, with wildcard matching. (Including '.*' for all sites not matched with narrower filters.)
I haven't tested yet to see if this also changes agent strings reported via JS. If so, that would put this far ahead of the old User Agent Switcher addon.
I was unaware that this didn't change JS reporting of agent strings. That explains why it doesn't work at all for some sites.
I'd love to recommend this extension. However, it appears that it's no longer supported (no support links on the Abine page; AMO support link dead), currently broken, and looks like the reviewers are right about being forced to look at advertising. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.9.8.4).
