Took me 30 minutes to find that FF history is no longer based on time, that visited links won't time out, and how to remove them from history.
Now, bothersome links are gone in two clicks. Great says it all.

If you have IE Tab installed you can create mht's by viewing in IE and file/save AS.
But this allows viewing as well and so much more.
Click on the link then drag the FavIcon (just left of the URL) to the desktop or whereever, done. Add on unnecessary.
As for PDF there is also web2pdf (put a button on the bookmark tool bar)
If you have IE Tab installed, open the link in IE and save as a .mht
