i use this addon not just for internet links, but also for local files (using file:/// etc). the only problem is that the options allow you to add and delete entries, but not to edit them. and for local files, of course the icons have to be edited in prefs.js by hand.
but, hey, you can't be perfect. the addon does its basic stuff very well.
loved this addon at first. but today, i noticed that i could not connect to any wikipedia page. the message wikiwand displayed was that i should disable https everywhere to allow cloudfront to come through. are wikiwand and amazon in cahoots to spy on us? if i'm wrong, i'll upgrade this review.
love it, especially the odometer clock. but i need it in the navigation toolbar, not the status (or addon, i guess) bar. can it be moved?
great addon; i get more real estate using it. but now with ff29 beta, it's not working. any chance of a fix?
absolutely crucial addon. and glad to hear that a future release will include on-going downloads when ff is closedThis review is for a previous version of the add-on (5.9.5).
this is an addon i use all the time with my tiddlywiki. would it be possible to port this to thunderbird? This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.99.22).
something i need for apps that i need to launch only when the browser is up. would like the ability to rename the links.
now, how about a port to thunderbird? i'd be able to launch skype from it!
i keep all non-secure login info in my tiddlywiki, so thanks for this addon. one request: can you remove the 'enabling tiddlywiki file saving capability' popup window? it's pretty useless once you've been using the addon for months. perhaps an option? This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.0alpha3).
makes readability infinitely better. is there any chance that it will be available on thunderbird? there are plenty of long emails i'd like to read on my kindle. thanks again. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.2).
very good, does exactly what it says; i have no problem disabling the feed if i'm busy, or opening and closing items. normally this would rate a 5-star review.
what rates as 1 star, however, is the method of adding or deleting feeds from the ticker. i just moved all my google reader feeds [100+] over to live bookmarks in order to use brief and i had to click 'remove' for each. and. every. feed. i. added. sheesh.
what i would like to see in this addon is the ability to set a bookmarks folder from which the ticker could take its items. how about it, mr. finke? i promise to upgrade this review to 5 stars if you update the addon!
this has suddenly stopped working in ff 18. actually, ff18 messed up a lot of file saving activity, so it may not be the fault of this addon.
without this addon, by the way, i am bereft! i use it all the time, at least until it crashed. bring it back!
All well and good, but I need to edit descriptions of bookmarks more than anything else. Is there any other bookmark addon that does this? This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2.2.3).
excellent addon. i would suggest a context menu addition in the options to set the selected as the default search engine. it's actually tough doing this when you have omnibar and add to search addons as well.
i agree with a previous reviewer about the days of the week being transliterated in eng. any hope it'll be in the next release?
I love it, and thank the developer. I would only ask for one enhancement: to have a context menu for the addon. I hate going to the big orange button. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (6.0.3).
very useful addon, much better than clunky default ff behavior. one improvement would be a choice in the context menu to get to the system context menu.
