Extension Options Menu

works fine in 35.0 Rated 5 out of 5 stars

works fine in 35.0. does exactly what it says it does, very efficiently.

NewsFox

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

This version seemed to cure my previous issues regarding this add-on. Even though it throws XML errors as the review before mine noted, these XML issues are actually being handled now. I believe these previously unhandled errors were randomly crashing my computer upon reading some feeds.

Sidebar for Facebook™

Pretty darned good, but not quite what I need... Rated 4 out of 5 stars

It is a pretty good FB processor, but I need the ability to customize it a bit.

I'd like access to my friends lists (to read - I can set them up from my FB page), or at least access to my favorites. I can put my friends lists in my favorites. Maybe it's difficult because these two are dynamic, whereas all the other stuff is static?

It's a pretty solid extension if you don't need to do other than the basic things, though.

NewsFox

suddenly started crashing WINDOWS Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I don't think it's an issue with newsfox. But maybe you could help me troubleshoot. What would cause a BSOD when reading feeds? It only happens when there is a lot of stuff to update. Then it crashes and I have to ask it to recover. I tried to note what feed it crashed on but it crashes too quickly to notice what number it was trying to read.

It was working fine forever, then suddenly it was crashing.

Do you think it's something wrong with a live bookmark sending something malformed? Or maybe something with newsfox got corrupted somehow and I should disable, delete the newsfox folder and re-enable?

Thanks!

Classic Theme Restorer

I wasn't going to upgrade to FF 29 until I found something that could mitigate the horrible update to the UI.

Well, this is it. CTR has enabled me to update and not be totally miserable with the UI.

Is there any way to activate the warning icon when the warning has expired?

while the animations are nice, its real strength is the pleasing appearance of the icons.

i wish the alert icon would stay flashing after you read the alerts, so you can be reminded that they are still in effect...

Holy cow, this thing is good! If they could display the tags to display in the feed pane, that would be excellent. :)

While version 1.1.9.1 *is* compatible with FF 4, there is one caveat:THIS ADD-ON KEEPS ITS SETTINGS INSIDE ITS ADD-ON FOLDER!!! Therefore, since FF 4 leaves the xpi file intact in the extensions folder (instead of extracting it first, as in FF 3.x) THE ADDON CANNOT WRITE CHANGES TO ITS SETTINGS FILE!!!After installing it in FF4 close FF, then go to the extension folder in your profile and look for {DCBD1271-D228-4082-9FBC-36D9B7660B03}.xpi. Extract it to a folder of the same name and delete the xpi file. Start FF. It will still give you the same error messages, but then the configuration screen will come up, allowing you to set it up. After setting it up, you will no longer have the errors. It is an interesting add-on, but all the feature icons take up too much room, so I only enable the severe weather warnings.
