Works fine on all newer versions of FF at least up to 26 (current at time of writing this). Used it constantly for some years now and would probably switch browsers if something like this wasn't available.
You don't need the Compatibility Reporter but you do need to install from the plugins web site as it won't be found from the Add-ons Manager.
There is a lot to like here and matching mobile apps make for a great experience.
BUT: Why do we need a plugin? I can't see anything that an HTML5 web app can't do?
I'm now knocking a star off this addon because it is getting "scope creep" and is doing things I don't want or need it too.
Stick to the basics please and do them well. Personally, I don't mind the option of allowing some adverts through, I think it sensible.
What I don't like is the typo correction. I know I can turn it off, and I have done so because there are a number of well known domains that it tries to "correct".
Please stick to the core requirements.
Works well and allow quick and easy capture of links with additional data that are then shared or private as requried.
@Yuan WANG - you DO get a tag list. Recommended tags are shown when you bookmark also, start typing a tag and you will get matching tags from your own list. It sometimes takes a few seconds to come up if you have a slow connection. Also, the sidebar lists your tags as soon as you start to search & of course the web site itself lists all of your tags. You can also get a tag feed.
Couldn't initially complete the setup on install, had to restart FF a second time. Seems like a nice tool though. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.4.1).
This is an absolutely MUST-HAVE add-on for Firefox if you tend to have many tabs open all of the time.
I often have tabs open for weeks before I get round to doing something with them & BarTab keeps the memory usage under control.
A really useful addon!
It works, no complexity to try and remember, it just gets on with the job. Nice indeed.
A very nice, simple add-on the greatly reduces the impact of starting/restarting Firefox when you have many tabs and windows open.
I nearly always have 2 or 3 windows with 10-20 tabs open!
Very useful to part-time developers like myself.
An absolutely essencial add-on for anyone with their own certs and shared hosting services. I've used this with Thunderbird 1 & 2 and Firefox 1 & 2 (no longer needed for FF3) on both Windows and Linux.
Next best thing to the blocking features of CS Lite (now defunct). This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2.0.3).
Nice and simple BUT how about a cookie BLACKLIST!
Now that CS Lite seems to be dead, that would be a killer feature to block those advertising cookies without disabling other sites.
Seems OK at first sight BUT it would be very much better if you could add blocked domains manually. Currently you really HAVE to block everything and then allow specific domains manually. This is a real faff if you visit lots of sites. Otherwise there is no way to block those nasty 3rd party domains. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.97.0).
