Pale Moon 27 compatibility please Rated 5 out of 5 stars
A "LocationBar² (modified)" version compatible with Pale Moon 27, the most user-friendly browser of all times and places ;-) and worthy successor of the cannibalized Firefox would sure be appreciated by a lot of users motivated to change to PM 'cause the good old Fox's last XUL days comes closer and closer.
Even more because your user name on addons.mozilla.org is the same as the user name of Pale Moon's developer on forum.palemoon.org :-))
Flawless working with the new 'n' better "Firefox" Pale Moon too Rated 5 out of 5 stars
I appreciate the turn of the add-on developers towards Pale Moon highly - PM is the worthy successor of suiciding FirefoxThis review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.5.0.2). This user has a previous review of this add-on.
Firefox without add-on functionality is DISPENSABLE! Rated 5 out of 5 stars
I agree with "This Add-on is essential on my Firefox..."
And I know what to do when Moilla goes this evil way of abolition of add-on funktionality as we enjoys it till now:
I'll sweep away all my Firefoxes and Mozilla then disgraces from all of my computers !
-- And then I'll use as a better "Firefox" the wonderful "Pale Moon" browser and for e-mailing I'll change to "FossaMail" from Moonchild Productions!
Thunderbird Looks Much Better With Hide C. Titlebar Plus Lite Rated 4 out of 5 stars
This add-on helps well to make Thunderbird looking better. But Thunderbird 31.3 appears still bullheaded: if in about:config the item "mail.tabs.autoHide" is set to true the titlebar is still there. And with "mail.tabs.autoHide" set to false there is still an empty useless annoying blue bar in the unmaximized window under the topmost bar.
Extreme helpful for the world-beating and not australis-contaminated PALE MOON Browser Rated 5 out of 5 stars
Thanks, due to this add-on I could install several add-ons in Pale Moon which were wrongly rejected before. :-D
And it DOES SHOW up in the add-on window but under the name "checkCompatibilty 1.3" :-p
Works nearly like a charm Rated 5 out of 5 stars
The cracking changes in Facebook for sure strongly challenges an add-on writer. Under such circumstances your add-on is as best as it can be. By now it shows indeed only in the status box. But in the meantime to the next update you can copy and paste each icon from the status box to each comment box you want.
And the best is - it works in Pale Moon 25.1 :-)
You just have to change something in about:config:
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:24.9) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/24.9 (Pale Moon)
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:24.9) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/28.9 (Pale Moon)
and to install the add-on:
"Disable Add-on Compatibility Checks 1.3"
Then it works as good as in the australis-contaminated Firefox! ;-))
Very Helpful Rated 5 out of 5 stars
Good add-on and suitable for Firefox-Australis to replace "Barlesque" and with some more potentials than "Barlesque".
[But two things displeased me: when I shrink the add-on bar into a corner, the hight of it doubles - that bothers, this then big thing stands in the way.] !! OK now since version 1.3.7, I appreciate the normal hight very strongly.
[The possibilities for shortcuts are poor: it's not possible to choose Alt+q for de-/activate and Ctrl+q for changing the side - I'm used to this from barlesque. Should be doable for The Puzzle Piece too.] !! Ok, I can live with it and I accept your explanatory notes, but an additional shortcut for changing the side would still be nice.
Capable to make Thunderbird better Rated 5 out of 5 stars
With this theme thunderbird looks much better and gets a better usability.
But there is an incompatibility with "Hide C. Titlebar Plus Lite" - together wit this add-on no more windows controls (close, maximize or restore, minimize) are seen.
5 stars in spite of this incompatibility but sorry to say, but as long as this incompatibility exists, "Hide C...." is more important for me - I hate this useless bulky caption titlebar bar ...
Download Manager With Good Usability Now Rated 5 out of 5 stars
Thanks a lot for the update. It works outstandingly with the last Non-Australis Firefox 28. Hope it will work with the future versions of Pale Moon which I'll use instead of Firefox 28 after his EOL.This review is for a previous version of the add-on (220.127.116.11-signed).
Rettung für Firefox (UND Mozilla) !? Rated 5 out of 5 stars
DSB finally has landed now in the eternal downloading grounds ... R.I.P. Rated 1 out of 5 stars
Finally with Firefox 26+ Download StatusBar couldn't keep up with Mozillas updates and faded away.
Last update of DSB from 2011 is old and weak and does it's last job in Ff 25 - with higher Firefoxes it works in no way.
I'm sure that there is no more update to be expectable as the owner of DSB has changed in 2011 from Devon Jensen to C.J. who obviously just adopted this (his only) add-on - and as a side note, does not one solely review about other add-ons!
It's too bad about a formerly well made (by Devon Jensen) and valuable add-on.
When I read "Download Statusbar 2 is in development and will be made available soon" I really tried to push myself to trust in a new version coming.
But... 3 years no more update since the former add-on owner has been leaved, except the attempt with an unfortunate "sponsorship mechanism"-version! It's very hard to believe in a new version coming, and well, I've hoped 2013 brings a new DSB to us ... NOTHING !!
What a SHAME !
Desperately Waitin' On Urgent Update... Rated 1 out of 5 stars
It was a very useful add-on.
But it seems there are some incompatibilities now - it works not always as it should and as it did some time ago.
No compatibility at all with the australised Firefoxes.
No update more than 3 expectant years now - barlesque sadly has passed away from us ?!
(no more star because overdue update staying away and compatibility issue)
Australis Kills This Nice Add-On Rated 5 out of 5 stars
"Movable Firefox Button" unfortunately plays no longer a role in Firefox with australis design - or will there be a brand new MFB-version for australis?
Development version ok Rated 5 out of 5 stars
Version 2013.02.16.23 doesn't work on Firefox 25.* !
Development version 2013.09.14.22b works well !
Additional note on 2013.11.21:
No version works with Firefox nightly australis design
Excellent, but Only Error Message with incompatible addon "Windows Media Player Extension 1.1" Rated 5 out of 5 stars
Tried several times to install it on Firefox 15. Always the same popup:
Error: Lightshot NPAPI plugin not found. Try to reload browser. If you keep seeing this error after reloading, please contact email@example.com."
Now, one hour later, I've found the reason for the error message: The "Windows Media Player Extension 1.1 for Firefox" (http://www.interoperabilitybridges.com/html5-extension-for-wmp-plugin) prevents "LightShot" from working !
Because WMPE 1.1 is the evil guy, I've increased the stars for LightShot from 1 to 5, with or without this incompatibility I like to give the deserved 5 stars.
Simple & compatible Rated 5 out of 5 stars
Very simple to use and yet, it is compatible with "Movable Firefox Button v1.4" - you don't have to disable the latter. Only do a mousey right-click on the Firefox-button and you'll see the color palette under the Firefox-button-menu. Push the Esc-button and the palette remains. Now choose your color (my beta-Fox-button is beta-blue).
And I fully agree with the review of "Linkz57": "...would like more options with this addon like removing the gradient and outline, or choosing a second color for Private Browsing Mode..." and a "RGB slider" for more colors would be nice.
Additional hint: After each re- or newstart of your Fox disable once the (restartless) "App Button Color" and then re-enable it, if you wants to call the color palette without the need of disabling the (restart-needing) "Movable Firefox Button".
Just What I Waited On... Super! Rated 5 out of 5 stars
It always annoys me to see an old old mail as a new one in the IMAP folders. Even more it confuses me to see a new order confirmation from a seller when I never ordered something the last time - it takes some times a few momements to catch the fact it's an old mail and i've ordered nothing new by mistake.
Well, as I saw this addon recently I reinstalled Thunderbird which never will fly now on a time travel and take something old forward to the presence.
And more, the second caveat i cannot confirm. I deselect the 'date' column and all threads are sorted always by 'received' - after each restart too. And even if I keep 'date', the threads keeps my choice for 'received'.
Thank You for this essential addon.
Nice Little Add-On, This One ! Rated 5 out of 5 stars
Nice and useful to pimp Firefox a little bit.
I use it in my umpteen portable Test-Foxes too.
(There is a small compatibility issue with the not so vital "Add-on Compatibility Reporter (ACR) 1.1":
"ACR 1.1" enabled bears down most times after a firefox-newstart this innocent 'n' cute "App Button Clear" - then (by operating experience) I could if I would disable & reanimate once this mission-critical "A. B. Clear" to help it serve it's purpose. But - just to pay compensation to "A. B. Clear" - I prefere to sentence the "ACR 1.1" to everlasting disabling-penalty into the dark and rotten dungeon of the add-ons-manager! Don't need'm nor love'm, who may get him ? ;-))
'App Button Clear' lives forever
Very useful add-on - but compatibility issues in latest Ff 14 Rated 1 out of 5 stars
I like this very useful add-on and will use it furthermore in my standard Firefox 12.
Now I realize a incompatibility in my portable Nightly Firefox 14.0a1:
since the 14.0a1-update with date april 22, 2012 "Ie View" stopps all my bookmarks to open.
When I disable it all bookmarks workin again - enable... no bookmarks working.
Doesn't bother me 'cause this add-on is anyway not marked as compatible with Firefox above version 12.
Guess some day compatibility will be made.
nearly perfect Rated 5 out of 5 stars
nearly perfect... and a perfect collaboration with add-on "QuickPasswords"
- SPE establishes trouble-free logins with the one exception of the most querulent site in this universe: "https://login.live.com".
It's not possible to login in this misfit with 'Saved Password Editor' nor with the Firefox's built-in passwordmanager.
Admittedly I'm longtime used to get troubles with some software-companies' site-impertinences.
Thank You for your answer. iMacros for Firefox works perfect. And imho it's not too powerful. Very easy to install, to adjust and then a very simple use. I made a link in the firefox-bookmarks (with a corresponding keyword) to each macro - I do nearly same comfortable and fast logins now to those "SPE"-inkompatible sites as with "Saved Password Editor".
