It works, but with issues: There's no documentation explaining whitelists/blacklists, and in any case they don't seem to work. There's also a bug where having a whitelist/blacklist stops clicking the toolbar button from actually disabling the add-on for a page.
Does what it says.
A great improvement for watching video. Professionally done. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (18.104.22.168.1-signed).
Multiple Tab Handler is superior (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/multiple-tab-handler/)This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2.1.1-signed).
It would be great except for the fact that it takes up a lot of room in the add-ons bar and can't be moved. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.4.1-signed).
Doesn't work on all forms, but sometimes is better than never.
Am I right in thinking this is only useful for people who don't notice that they're not on an HTTPS page?
Seems this isn't quite ready yet, given the things it breaks, or worth the added complexity...
The crappy UI means I'd stick with the less-featured Fire Encrypter (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/fire-encrypter/). A toolbar isn't an appropriate interface (especially as the only interface) for a tool that isn't in constant use - besides which the text input/output box should be more than one line high.
Does stuff that should be built in to Firefox. However doesn't hide the titlebar if you're using an add-on that changes it (eg. Customize Titlebar https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/customize-titlebar/)This review is for a previous version of the add-on (22.214.171.124-signed).
Customize Titlebar has more options https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/customize-titlebar/This review is for a previous version of the add-on (126.96.36.199-signed).
For better privacy, block all referrers with Redirect Remover https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/redirect-remover/
Use NoScript instead, it's much better for privacy and securityThis review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.2.9.1-signed).
Good for newbies who want a simple privacy upgrade. For real effectiveness you need more advanced addons. I recommend Beef Taco https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/beef-taco-targeted-advertising/ along with NoScript and others https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/collections/gracefool/privacy/
Has worked for me under every version of Firefox with WinXP. And Firefox doesn't delete the cookies (despite the 27 Sep review).
You can force add-on compatibility by adding a new boolean preference in about:config "extensions.checkCompatibility.9.0" and setting it to false (Where "9.0" is your major Firefox version, put a "b" on the end if you're using a beta).
Great extension, should be built-in. As of Firefox 9.0.1 (which it *does* work with), the icon can be moved around, so you can put it next to the address-bar.This review is for a previous version of the add-on (188.8.131.52-signed). This user has a previous review of this add-on.
Good addition that does what it says, but should be updated to use the new-style statusbar icon so it can be moved around. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (184.108.40.206-signed).
Thanks heaps Torvin, that works! I suggest that if you still dont have a reply in a month or two, upload it as a new add-on eg. HeaderControl 2 / HeaderControl fixed.
Normally when you make a new tab you can immediately start typing into the address bar. Unfortunately, with this add-on you have to press Ctrl-A then Delete to remove the current contents before you can search / type an address :(
