My Reviews

Duplicate Tab

Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Works fine in Firefox 3.6.3. if you change the version number in install.rdf.

Tab History

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Thanks for posting the updated beta. I works great in FF 3.6. This functionality really should be incorporated into Firefox.

MR Tech Toolkit

Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Auto-archiving hasn't been available since FF 2.0. I can't get the sort feature to work either. It has been MONTHS and still no update.

Better GCal

Rated 1 out of 5 stars

The author says she's updated it but most of the features don't work. That makes this add on completely worthless. If you need full screen calendars I found a Greasemonkey script called Fully Maximize Google Calendar with F12 Toggle that works.

Video DownloadHelper

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Still the best and most update video downloader. Be aware that they've changed the default downloads on YouTube to download the mp4s rather than the FLVs though. Changing the default settings without notification is bad etiquette. You can change them back in options but it is still REALLY annoying.

FaviconizeTab

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

A terrific way to manage tabs that you always have open so you have space for the tabs you are surfing in.

Video DownloadHelper

Rated 4 out of 5 stars

This is a very useful extension for snagging youtube videos. The only problem is that it always downloads files twice unless you go through and manually delete the repeats in the queue. The support page on the developer site says this issue has been fixed but as of the newest version I still have this problem.

BBB Bear Blue Baby

Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Slowed my browser to a crawl. Does not support small icons AT ALL. Hides lots of the down arrows for menus. Messes with the spacing between the toolbars. Too bad because cute browser themes are in short supply.

Save Image in Folder

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Works great in FF 3.0.4. Double-click to save image in the last folder works everytime even if the last folder was a subfolder. This version finally fixes the stupid red caret at the bottom that made the taskbar REALLY tall. I use this extension a lot everyday and I am very happy with it.

PDF Download

Rated 1 out of 5 stars

This used to be a great extension. Now it doesn't work properly. It used to prompt you what you want to do, holding up downloading or whatever until you responded. Now the Firefox default action for PDFs kicks in instead. If you respond to the prompt screen you end up with two copies of the same file.

Snap Links

Rated 4 out of 5 stars

This is one of my favorite extensions. It still works in FF 3.0.1 if you use nightly tester tools. To fix the broken dictionary problem just change the drawing mouse button setting to middle-click and restart the browser.

Undo Closed Tabs Button

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

A simple extension that does exactly what it says, it provides a button with a drop menu for closed tabs. Used in conjunction with Tab Clicking Options and you have all of the important features of TMP without the bloat or the LONG delays between updates.

ScrapBook

Rated 3 out of 5 stars

I've been using this extension for a long time and generally it works well. However, since Firefox 3 came out the annotation and highlighting tools have been broken. You try and mark or highlight text and it disappears. The developer has removed the forums and support section from his website and does not respond to emails. So there is no way to report bugs or seek help from other users.

Snap Links

Works in FF 3 RC1 using Nightly Tester Tools. You do have to change the selection to something other than right-click to prevent it from messing up Google Docs and Firefox's built in spell checker. The Middle Click choice works great. It would be nice if the developer would update it so the workarounds weren't necessary.

Backgroundimage Saver

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Does what it says it will do. A shortcut way of getting pictures.

Using adblock to block clear gifs is fine. But some sites change the gif names on a regular basis. And people do want pics from sites other than google.

Video DownloadHelper

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I've tried several other extensions none of the others works as well AND as consistently as this one. Kudos to the developer.

Video DownloadHelper

Works Great Rated 4 out of 5 stars

As of Sept 13th, this is the only video download extension that is working for downloading YouTube videos.

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2.4.2).

Ook? Video Ook!

Works the Best Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Like the other reviewer said this is only video downloader that consistently works. Also, the interface is nice a simple just a tiny icon.

del.icio.us post

great lite extension Rated 5 out of 5 stars

This is a terrific alternative extension to the bloated extensions with tons of features I don't need. It does one thing, it posts links to delicious and lets you tag them. That is all I wanted and all I need. Awesome.
