In a little more detail...
Hey there... My name is Jose Enrique Bolaños. I've been developing add-ons for Firefox both professionally and as a hobby for some years now. I'm very proud to have won two Extend Firefox contests: one for Fire.fm (2008) and one for Destroy the Web (2009), both created in my spare time just for the love of add-on development :)I live in sunny/rainy Costa Rica :Dhttp://josebolanos.wordpress.com
Add-ons I've created
Destroy the Web Requires Restart
Turn any webpage into a shoot-em up video game.
With a pulse pounding soundtrack and high scores for every web page, Destroy the Web is a fun way to take a little break during the day.
Great idea but still buggy Rated 3 out of 5 stars
Works but it still is a little buggy. In Mac, The Command + Shift + P shortcut to convert a tab to a permanent tab is not working, and the tab UI looks a little rough. Still, I think this add-on executes a great idea, as I keep a permanent group of tabs open every day. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.8.4).
Does what it promises Rated 4 out of 5 stars
Very simple extension does that what it promises to do. I would recommend adding a tooltip text to the status bar icon that explains what the numbers mean; having a bunch add-ons, one might forget what those numbers meant. If you close a background window the numbers don't refresh immediately. Good add-on nonetheless. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.0).
Good in Windows Rated 4 out of 5 stars
Good idea and very well executed. The list of suggested events is good, but allowing for custom events (granted, if you know what you're doing) is even better. A couple of issues I found:
1) Having more bundled sounds may be a good idea, because not everyone will go through the trouble of locating local sound files for events.
2) Did not work in Mac. Enabled events did not show the "check" next to them in the list, and the events did not trigger the sound.
Import/Export is great too. Good work.
