I decided that I din't like Rated 2 out of 5 stars

I finally decided that I didn't like the "with sponsored links" part of the entire matter. Who, what when and where are the sponsored links and was I being sniffed?

Evernote Web Clipper

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I'm giving 5 stars for finally fixing the clipper so that we do not need to use the cloud.

I tried clipping some text and the new add-on works.

Evernote Web Clipper

Why did they break it Rated 1 out of 5 stars

I am never sure why some developers can't keep what was good and change what was bad. In this ad-on they changed what was good. The good was the ability to save in a non-cloud environment. Yes I can send to the cloud / synch / move to local folder but that isn't very useful. The add-on works in IE and I ask why IE. Why would they have it work in IE but not Firefox? This has been a known issue for quite a while and I'm starting to consider that EN doesn't care about it.So the above is why I give the latest EN only one star.

When I have time I will search for the replacement for EN.

Done with EN updates Rated 1 out of 5 stars

I won't be updating anymore of the EN program or EN extensions. They keep forcing me to use the cloud but I want local database control. The latest EN extension takes me directly to the cloud but I want to go to local folders. SO I give them a one star for it.

LastPass Password Manager

Doesn't store locally Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Not sure if I like the idea of my log-on and passwords being kept by a third party. Not sure if I will use this password manager. My normal manager isn't up to speed with FF4 but it is an add-on that locally stores passwords.

I am not sure why you would not have the app store passwords locally?

Lightning Nightly Updater (Unofficial)

Five stars but all of the sudden 0.10.100228 stopped working. I'm running TB 3.0.3

Noia 2.0 (eXtreme)

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

This has always been my main theme.

Sorry to hear that FF is giving you a bad time.

Bad Firefox...bad...bad!

Sxipper

Working again Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Good good, this is very good to know "they said passwords and personas were always stored locally"

Although it is an interesting aspect that if their server goes, so does sxipper. So if they decide to shut it all down, our password app becomes handicapped.

My worry showed how much I depend on this add-on and when working is a GREAT add-on.

Sxipper

where is sxipper Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Does anyone know if Sxipper is also part of Sxip Identity Corporation?

I find Sxipper mentioned on page 2, paragraph six of this: http://www.boalewood.ca/images/assets/sxipprelimreport.pdf

So I question, did sxipper close their doors. If so, unless Sxipper needed to call the home server to work, sxipper should still work. I am beginning to worry. I am beginning to worry that if the sxipper server was needed for it to work, are my passwords safe? Against what we were told, in reality, did passwords get stored on the site server?

I'll be calling the authorities to try and find answers about this matter.

You don't have to always use online acct Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Perhaps for the first setup you need to make an online account but after that you can setup new databases on your computer.

I've been using Evernote for a long time. At first I thought that I would need all my new databases to use their online server. Not true. I was happy.
