SmartVideo For YouTube

Fix it *fast*, dammit! Rated 2 out of 5 stars

This *was* a 5-star app; now it's only a 2-star.

Why? It breaks the new Google maps...which is as unacceptable as it is weird.

-- The split-second I find another extension which auto-kills Youtube annotations, this drops to a 1-star (because other extensions exist to autoplay Youtube in HD).

YouTube Center

I want to like this more, but it's currently broke. Rated 2 out of 5 stars

Killing annotations is, of course, the MAJOR draw for this (as it's apparently the only extension capable of doing so after the latest craptacular self-nerfing of YouTube)...but the lack of a settings entry under the Tools tab or even in Add-Ons (it's like there's no way at all to access settings after the first time), and incompatibility with several popular sites featuring in-line YouTube videos (such as Cracked.com, where clicking a video just yields a blank black box) make it a deal-killer. ....at least for now.

== Addendum ==

Reply to the reply: the screenshots cog commands are only applicable if you're logged into a YouTube account (an annoyance -- and you might not have, or want, one anyway). An options entry under the Tools browser tab is vastly preferably IMO. In any event, there's still the blank, black box bug with inline videos.

YouTube Center

Be sure you're installing the *real* YouTube Center Rated 5 out of 5 stars

There's a "YouTube Center 2.5" extension floating around out there that does NOTHING (that I can tell). This, otoh, is the real deal.

Old Bookmarks Sidebar

Bookmarks folder contents do not display Rated 2 out of 5 stars

The good news is that this extension apparently works, even with Firefox 16. The bad news is that it apparently doesn't do anything useful -- i.e., Show All Bookmarks brings up the bookmarks list, but the list won't display sub-folders in a nested hierarchical view...at least not on a Mac in OSX Lion, anyway.

Until the author of this tool updates it, go here for my hack of Old Manage Bookmarks: http://home.comcast.net/~meadowbrookstlouispark/z/Hierarchical_Bookmarks.xpi

Saved Passwords Button

no longer works Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Button does not appear in Firefox 13 (Windows7 platform)

Lazarus: Form Recovery

Crash-a-tron Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Crash! Crash! Crash! -- If you have lots of other extensions, multiple rows of tabs, save sessions, and frequently move between tabs while leaving forms in other tabs in preview mode, it'll explode 100% of the time, sometimes within seconds of launch. Disable, and everything is sweet again. (If the author drops me a line, I'll be happy to help him source the bug. I'm using Firefox 3.6.17 on XPpro)

Zeros stars -- You broke it Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Now 100% incompatible with Flashblock on Youtube videos which force ads (the video will become unclickable). See youtube VL6qxuWfN-A for an example.

Yahoo! Mail Notifier

Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Five-star rating dropped to one star.

No apparent support since June 2010; "works" with Firefox4 but 100% useless because Firefox4 no longer has a "statusbar" at the bottom of the screen (where YMN puts its icon).

Flat Bookmarks

A glass half full is half empty Rated 3 out of 5 stars

It's neat, but useless for someone with THOUSANDS of bookmarks.

-- What I would REALLY love is for the bookmarks manager (now called "Library" in v4) to display heirarchically nested folders. Ideally this should behave identically to Firefox v2, and include the ability to completely remove the left pane. It should also remember the manager/library window's shape, position, and open/close status across Firefox restarts.

Rated 3 out of 5 stars

Cute, but useless for anyone with more than a handful of bookmarks.

Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Rating dropped to 1 (previously 5) -- Tubestop has been "broke" by the latest and greatest spamming routines built into Flash; and on those particular videos (which are now ubiquitous on "breaking news" sites), not only will the video not autoplay, it won't play AT ALL after being clicked -- and unless you also have IE Tab extension installed and switch over the the Explorer version (in which case you get autoplay and all ads), it'll just sit there stubbornly not playing.

Old Manage Bookmarks

Still doesn't do what I want Rated 2 out of 5 stars

Dropping one star off my three-star 2009 review.

-- Still no ability to COMPLETELY REMOVE the left-pane.
-- Still no ability to 100% DUPLICATE the look-and-feel of the v2 BM in the right pane.

ALL I want are: (1) a PLAIN list of nested bookmarks which can be sort-listed in the v2 manner, with (2) search-field and sort-type functionality directly kited from v2. *Nothing else matters*,

Rated 3 out of 5 stars

Does not block very many "fake popup" flash windows. no longer blocks Youtube videos until the triangle is pushed, not even as an OPTION.

I *want* this; please restore it as a checkbox option.

Deng Google Bookmarks

nested hierarchical bookmark organizer Rated 3 out of 5 stars

Is there ANY nested hierarchical bookmark organizer for Firefox which mimics the old v2.0 organizer?

Old Manage Bookmarks

Works, but not yet a v2 duplicate Rated 3 out of 5 stars

imikoa, if you could restore ALL the functionality of the old-style Firefox 2 bookmarks manager - namely the ability to close the left pane entirely, that would be GREAT.

I keep my v2 BM permanently open as a vertical "tab" which hides behind the main window, which is less than fully maximized by a few pixels on the right. A quick run of the mouse to screen-edge and a click brings the BM up, where I can quickly access my thousands of bookmarks in nested-view mode.

You could also add two features not present in either the old or new BMs: 1. ability to open automatically when Firefox is launched, and 2. remember screen location and other parameters.
