v3.7 Rated 2 out of 5 stars

It appears the latest version seems to make "freeze" tabs. So I can only look at the current tab and not switch to any other tabs.

Version 3.7 is a Disaster Rated 2 out of 5 stars

This latest version completely trashed my Firefox 2.0.0.17 install.

It wrecked my theme (Winestripe) changing the colour of inactive tabs as well as the tab background and removing some of my visual customisations (which made the theme look really ugly). It also totally ruined all my neatly customised context menu items (which I had changed using CustomizeMenu). Instead I got pretty much every context menu choice available visible all at one in the context menu (and in a totally random order).

This makes it a truly horrible experience using Firefox (because you it takes ages to find the menu option that you want). Disabling TabMix Plus v3.7 removes the theme problems, but the menu problems remain.

Fortunately I had a backup, so I had to export all my bookmarks, adblock and noscript settings and then restore the old backup and everything was back as it should be.

This release can't have been tested at all, because it's a total disaster.

ver 3.7 incompatible w/FF 2.0.0.17 Rated 4 out of 5 stars

This is not a review, but a caution to users of FF 2.x.
I have found some incompatibilities that surfaced when I installed ver. 3.7 of this add-on to my Firefox 2.0.0.17.
The icons of other add-ons on my toolbars disappeared and my search engines also disappeared leaving only Google as a default. After uninstalling ver. 3.7 and reinstalling ver. 3.6, the icons and search engines reappeared.
This incompatibility aside, this add-on is still a must-have!

And thanks for making the Firefox 3 compatible version (was getting abstinence syndrome)

This is my number one Firefox extension - I tried using FF3 without it for a while, but quickly realised just how much Tab Mix Plus improves the whole browsing 'experience'!

Almost Perfect Rated 4 out of 5 stars

I guess the only true rival to this plugin would be tab kit. But this is an idea that could be implemented by either. And whichever does it will be the plugin of my choosing.... (1) The ability to CTRL + click tabs (selecting them) before choosing to group them. (2) The ability to save tab groups and recall them at any time (maybe via the tabs, right click menu). (3) Groups can be expanded either horizontally, vertically (tab explorer bar), or in a drop down list which disappears when mouse is moved away*** (my preference). Overall, tab grouping is very important to researchers like myself. And I hate clutter. I hope that these ideas will be beneficial. P.S. I've been with tab mix from the beginning and do not desire to replace it; however, tab grouping and "maybe" custom coloring could cause me to do just that. Respect.... - Oz

[Mozilla FireFox 3.0.3]

Very good add-on with many options to configuere the look of tabs. One is that I can let show the tab menu bar on TOP or BLOW (I use BLOW).
[This is my FIRST comment with Firefox]

Sehr gute Erweiterung mit mehreren Einstellungen, um das Aussehen der Tabs anzupassen.
Eine davon ist, dass ich das Tab-Fenster OBEN oder UNTEN anzeigen kann (ich benutze OBEN).

Woohoo! It's out on FF3. Thank you. But why is it that I can't find this add-on when I search for "Tab Mix Plus" on this website?

TMP working with Fx 2.0.* was the only reason I haven't switched to Fx 3.0 yet. No I can :-)
