This could be a Good Add-on
I installed this add on and it worked, and I liked it, but then it did not work, unfortunately there is no indication if this add on is on or off, Shift+E does not work either, there is no icon on the menu bar either, so little odds on a add-on that has been around for 6 years without having an indication.
there are some pictures for this add-on, that shows the features of this add-on, well I don't see those features, except the picture for checking proxy loads on new window/tab, I can bring it up by clicking on OPTION,
it seems that the picture belong to the older version of this add-on, so the new version does have less features compare to the picture?
I removed the add-on and installed it again, still no luck,
this could be a very useful add-on, I wonder why it stopped working.
please make it work, I have seen that other people also have problem using this add-on.
unfortunately the older version of this add-on does not work with FF 55.
I installed it on FF 55, on Windows 7 32 bit,

Looks promising, but can't get it to talk to me! Rated 3 out of 5 stars
Looks impressive, but I have no idea wether I am going through my proxy or not. It's quite an overly complex plug-in for simply switching between proxies.
Keyboard shortcuts provoke no response and there's no ticks in the menu to tell you what you have switched on/off!
Maybe I'm missing something, but then it's probably not what I'm looking for.
Cant Get it to work Rated 3 out of 5 stars
I've tried putting in dedicated proxies but when i click Shift+E I can no longer load pages. It just sits there spinning forever even though my proxies are good. I also am not sure how to get it to rotate through the proxies every time i refresh the page. I see the rotate proxy option but I cant tell if its going to rotate on Refresh or on New Tab. Also don't know what the "use default referer after page is loaded" option means and couldn't find info since the plugin website is down. I'm Giving 3 stars hoping that I'm just missing something but so far this plugin is only 1 star until I can get it working. I'll give 5 stars if i get it working.
Great Addon Missing One Simple Thing Rated 5 out of 5 stars
What more could you possibly want from such a awesome addon? Well there are many great keyboard shortcuts to remember, and one not so great- Shift + F1 it's worthless to many people. But it doesn't have to be! Remembering all these shortcuts is intimidating, and Shift + F1 could be the perfect solution to that. Please consider to place the Keyboard Shortcut List on the Help webpage. I love being able to cycle past bad proxies with a simple press of the keys. This addon is excellent.

I am not complete without this addon. It is far better than most proxy addons. Keep it up !!
Can you upgrade again? Rated 5 out of 5 stars
Dear developer, thanks for this great tool again, but it really will be much better if you add some more user agent.
Would you please add more, if you need problem, I'd really like to help with the resource.

HELP doesn't work without SUPPORT Pages! Rated 3 out of 5 stars
This add-on doesn't seem to work with my current FireFox v30.
I can't seem to reach developers' web page nor can HELP within plugin find their home page.
I used to love this add-on, but now I can't use it. I believe it is DEAD, with NO Support.
The plugin is not dead

I had this Add-On installed for a short time. I was using one of those "trace my IP" sites and even though it stated I was in Buffalo, NY my actual IP address was transparent. So, how can I surn annonymously if my actual IP address can be traced? This Add-On is not recommended by me.

Installed unwanted bundles Rated 2 out of 5 stars
Two stars for good functionality - this extension offers loads of options to change user agent, referrer, as well as IP proxy. I've just spent ages removing all traces of bundled malware/adware from my computer, along with the extension. This problem *may* not have originated with Proxy Tool ... but I think it did. Apply with caution, if at all.
Our addon doesn't have any virus at all.
In case you don't know this, EVERY single addon that goes on Mozilla.org is completely checked, every aspect of the code is inspected by Mozilla reviewers. It would be impossible for an addon developer to put a virus in an addon unless it isn't officially released on Mozilla.org
Further more there would be no reason for us to spend countless hours on a free addon just to couse people problems. We do this because we want people to like our products and website, not hate us.
questions/doubts Rated 3 out of 5 stars
A few things;
1. I'd like it to default to via proxy = ON and user agent spoof = ON for each new session/tab/window, and
2. If i right click the status bar icons for 'clear cookies' and 'clear flash cookies', there are dialogue boxes that inform me how many of either kind of cookies have been removed.
That is not the case if i click 'delete evercookie'. There is no response from the extension. How can I be sure that that feature actually works? I'd like a response dialogue informing me of exactly what locations the evercookie/s was/were deleted from. Or at least how many have been deleted, even if that number is zero.
3. Very important that the proxies not be transparent!
4. If I use the proxy checker they recommend, their proxy gets detected. If I use any other proxy checker/IP
trace tool, the proxy from Anonymox is detected and not the Proxy Tool one. That seems suss. And I would like clarification about it.
Excuse the no paragraph changes. some extension is blocking wysiwyg editing here
Very Unsafe------- Rated 2 out of 5 stars
Well-built, but always turning itself off. Needs almost constant attention. Other user said pop-ups may cause this - he may be right. But it is not safe to have it changing all the time without your knowledge.
There is no pop-up ads or anything like that in that plugin.
Maybe it's your computer that is already infected.
Hope it helps.
great, usefull tool but... :) Rated 4 out of 5 stars
can't use private proxy list.
Rated 4 out of 5 stars
Works well for me. The only feature I would like is an "exceptions list" so I can easily add them without having to go into Firefox settings. Also I've noticed when a window pops up it turns the proxy off. Otherwise a great extension! Thank you!
annoying Rated 1 out of 5 stars
Can I give it zero stars? Bottom line: it's annoying ad-ware; they want to sell you some proxy service.
