Wiederkehrende Termine verschieben Rated 3 out of 5 stars
:-)This review is for a previous version of the add-on (4.0.2).

Although the complement is great, upgrades do not work well with upgrades to new versions of Thunderbird. Let me try to explain myself.
I upgraded automatically to Thunderbird 38.2.0 but Lightning complement is not yet ready for this Thunderbird version, reason why I can not use my calendar
I will suggest to add a warning message to not upgrade to the new version of Thunderbird unless the Lightning version is compatible.
I have learned the lesson and will try not to upgrade Thunderbird unless Lightning is compatible.
Said that, may I ask when will be Lightning version compatible with Thunderbird 38.2.0?
Many thanks in advance.
Can you contact support on this issue? Since Thunderbird 38, Lightning is now shipped with Thunderbird and therefore a compatible version should always be available (and installed with Thunderbird).
Partage des agendas & des tâches indissociables Rated 2 out of 5 stars
This review is for a previous version of the add-on (4.0.2).

Lightning add-on causes Thunderbird to hang with "Not Responding" message for about 5 mins on startup. After that it works fine. This started occurring after upgrading to TB 38.2.0. TB starts up fine if I disable Lightning. Please fix. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (4.0.2).
Bug with attendees since Lightning 4.0.2 Rated 5 out of 5 stars
Since Lightning 4.0.2 i can't invite attendees with Provider for Google Calendar 1.0.4.
Event is ok but only on selected calendar, no attendee.
This is a known issue, we will fix this either for 184.108.40.206 or 4.0.3, whichever comes first.

Works fine and beautifully!
(I had to use a Lighting 3.3.3 though, because thunderbird in ubuntu 14.04 is not the version with the highest version number for some reason - which the developer was so kind to point out.)
Please note that the latest version of Thunderbird is not 31.x, but instead 38.x. Please see https://developer.mozilla.org/docs/Calendar/Calendar_Versions for details and get older versions of Lightning at https://addons.mozilla.org/addon/lightning/versions
Great add-on only TB 38 starts very slowly because of this Add-on Rated 4 out of 5 stars
Lightning is very great add-on. But there is one big problem. TB 38 starts up very slowly.with Lightning on. It takes 10 to 15 seconds more to start TB 38 then when the Add-on is off. I hope you can fix this problem very soon. Or maybe there is a solution. I am using Windows 7 64 bit. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (220.127.116.11).
Unpossible work with Rated 1 out of 5 stars
My PC is going crazy when I switch Lightning on, ventilator is running full speed (i7, 8GB RAM, SSD). When I switch this Add-on off, it works again properly. I've observed such efect last months, before I was a satisfied user. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (18.104.22.168).
Are you also using the Provider for Google Calendar? If so, please unsubscribe from the "Birthdays" calendar until I release the next version of that addon.

Works as usual after the closer integration into TB, thanks! Though I had to disable "Calendar tweaks" extension because it made constant hangs after latest upgrade of Lightning. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (4.0.1).

Synced with Google calendar. It loaded the list of calendars, but it did not show any calendar scheduled entries at all. I do like the interface, but since I can't get it to sync, I can't use it.This review is for a previous version of the add-on (4.0.1).

This is a great idea. First tried it in TB38 since it is now "built in." I connected it to my Google calendars and that's when the problems began. I noticed TB taking way more memory than usual, and hanging intermittently, I think as the add-on queried Google. TB's trustworthy responsiveness was gone and I couldn't work fast anymore. I had to disable Lightning unfortunately. I also noticed that my 4 Google task lists were merged into one which made the entries kind of meaningless for me. missing many appointments Rated 3 out of 5 stars
3 stars because I'd be happy except for the show-stopping bug.
Something happened when I upgraded to version 4 of provider. Now many of my events for one of my google calendars are missing. Whereas it looked like only birthdays were being loaded, if I paged back to 2013 normal events were present. Then I noticed that the number of events loading was out of 999. So I looked for a config var that was set to 1000 and found calendar.google.maxResultsPerRequest. I set this to 4000. Now the numbers go up to 2600+ but I'm still missing some items. Please advise me as to what to do.
I'm using postbox 4.0.2 and google provider 1.0.4 and latest appropriate lightning release. Note that I tried these in Thunderbird and they didn't work there either. Window 7 Ult.
Thanks in advance.
Please give it a while for the first synchronization. Especially since you have very many events it will take a while, but after it has completed all synchronizations are incremental. The "...of 1000" status is not quite accurate, once those 1000 are done it will begin with the next 1000 items, so you can keep the maxResultsPerRequest at 1000.
Useless due to missing calendar appointments Rated 1 out of 5 stars
Lightning, set to use my Google Calendar, is missing half my appointments. The same items show just fine on Google Calendar itself, on my iOS devices and in TBird via the ThunderCal addon.
There are no settings I can locate to change what is and is not seen.
Do not use if you need to see all your calendar items.

Wetter???? Rated 4 out of 5 stars
Lightning 4.0.1 Download Rated 4 out of 5 stars
According to this site, the Lightning 4.0.1 download should be 6.6MB but it is actually only 4.8MB, which is also much smaller than previous versions.
Is the download faulty?
The size depends on the platform. The linux xpi is 6.6mb, while windows and mac are smaller. The difference is due to the binary component. If you want to compare checksums, see http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/calendar/lightning/releases/4.0.1/

Fantastic calendar application. When used alongside the lightbird extension (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/seamonkey/addon/lightbird/) it truly enhances my productivity with SeaMonkey and centralizes more of what I need into a single application. The "stable" channel is never stable enougb for me, especially since I prefer to be up to date with the latest nightly comm central releases (http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/seamonkey/nightly/latest-comm-central-trunk/). I had to upgrade to the latest lightning nightly (http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/calendar/lightning/nightly/latest-comm-central/) as well for SeaMonkey 2.39, and since, it has been flawless. Great, open-source alternative to the competition. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (22.214.171.124).

Lightning 3.3.3 Addon Causes Empty Email Bodies Rated 3 out of 5 stars
I found a bug in Lighting 3.3.3. When the addon is enabled, all my emails (in this case, I only have an Exchange email setup) have empty text bodies. Viewing the source (Ctrl+U) will show all the all the contents there should have been. Disabling the addon, all text bodies can be seen again. I’ve created a bugzilla report link, https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1175983This review is for a previous version of the add-on (188.8.131.52).
