It did open, but then it didn't copy and paste my selections! This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2.1.1-signed).
The copy operation is not automatic. It just highlights the emoticon or symbols. In order to copy, you have to press Ctrl + C. In order to paste, you have to click Ctrl + V. We have mentioned that explicitly in the add-on details. The reason behind that manual operation is that we did not want to slow down the app, since the automatic copy operation requires some flash and java script code.

Thank you for your prompt reply and info., please don't get it wrong, I think it's a wonderful add-on, but it just didn't work for me, thus the 1 star, and yes I am using the latest Ff 16.0.1.This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2.1.1-signed).
Would you please give more information about what do you mean by "the app did not work for you"? i.e., did it open when you click the browser icon, if opened, when you click a symbol button, a text box should open to show that symbol, you then click Ctrl+C to copy then Ctrl+V to paste. You can try the service at http://www.i2symbol.com to see what the app action should be.

Doesn't work at all and I think you must register and login to their web site for it to work, but didn't even bother to do so, just removed it.This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2.1.1-signed).
i2Symbol is fully functioning on Firefox. You do not have to register to use the service.
Registration is only needed if you just want to bookmark your favorite symbols.
What is your Firefox version? Have you tried the latest Firefox version 16.0.1?
