does what it has to do: shortens urls via goo.gl; no google integration at this moment; despite that i had to disable it as the plugin puts it's icon to the toolbar (no way to tell it not to do it) and messes up the toolbar arrangement =(

ATTENTION: this version is 1.8.1 from far
April 18, 2012.
It does only url-shorting, STILL NO any Google Account integration as announced.
One star for no-update.

Version 1.9? Rated 4 out of 5 stars
I cannot find version 1.9 - I'd love to have it so I can track the URLs with my Google account.
Great Addon Rated 5 out of 5 stars
Any reason why 1.9 isn't the default install yet? When I install FF on new machines it keeps pulling in 1.81 and I have to remember to go to versions to find 1.9 - after a year I would think it's time to make people search out 1.81 if they want it rather than the other way around....
You should tell it's features in description Rated 5 out of 5 stars
I was in doubt for several feature that does it support or not before installing it like:
Context Menu of Page - Supported
Context Menu of a Link = Supported
But I just gave it a try and found it was worth trying.
You should tell us about it's features in description
Thanx a lot for this unmatching addon
Simple and best Rated 5 out of 5 stars
Simple and precise. Does what it says and does it well. Thank you for the addon. :-)
Просто. Доступно. Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Love it, use it a lot
Would be nice if you make an option to disable the notification bar on copy and show it only when it fails.
Keep up the good work, and please keep it working on all Firefox version.
P.S Works fine on Palemoon.
Very good, functional add-on Rated 5 out of 5 stars
Works as it shoold, nothing more to say :)
Re: Link of v1.9? Rated 4 out of 5 stars
I had to access the link using Chrome because Firefox does not show me the hyperlink in the Download button.
I managed to download and install it on my Firefox 16, showed me the window to authenticate with my Google account, but I shorten a URL and not saved in the history.
Need some debug or something similar, something that I can help you to see where the problem might be?
Thanks for all.
PS: Again... sorry for my english.
Privacy Questions/Concerns Rated 5 out of 5 stars
I have no issues with the performance of the add-on itself, it works perfectly and does exactly what it's supposed to do, however, I'm always leery about granting apps access to my google account so I was wondering what granting your app access encompasses. What exactly am I granting your app (you?) access to in my google account? Do you have access to this information? And if you do, how is our data being stored and protected?
(By no means am I accusing you or suggesting that you have bad intentions or anything, like I said, I'm just extremely cautious and overprotective of my google account so I was just curious to know some further information for my own piece of mind).
Just shortening URLs
You're right to be careful. I'm doing what it says on the tin, but you can check. You don't need to take my word for it.
To be sure, you can right-click the download button, save the add-on, rename it to ZIP, unzip it, then look at the source.
In resources/goo_gl_lite/module.jsm , you will see that I'm only requesting the https://www.googleapis.com/auth/urlshortener scope, which is pretty self-explanatory. It means the add-on can only manage shortened URLs. In practice, it only adds them.
Also, when you connect your account, Google will say:
goo.gl lite is requesting permission to:
Manage your goo.gl short URLs
I (the author) don't have any access. The token (basically a login cookie) is stored on your machine.
Thank you. And 1.9? Rated 5 out of 5 stars
This addon is very useful. Thank you.
But when will the 1.9 be available?
It is available now at https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/googl-lite/versions/ .
Right-clicking still works for me
Right-clicking still works for me, using the "Copy Goo.gl URL for Image Location" choice.
Change Google account? Rated 4 out of 5 stars
How does one change the Google account to be used? I uninstalled the extension, deleted prefs, and reinstalled -- and now I get "Authenticating to your Google account failed (null)".
How to change account
1. Go to about:config
2. Search for token
3. Right-click every entry that includes goo_gl or oauthorizer, and
click Reset. There should be 3 goo_gl, and 1 oauthorizer.
Now, when you click the button, it will have you reauthorize. If you're
logged into the wrong account, you can click the arrow in the upper
right to log out, then log in. You don't need to leave the dialog.
I will try to provide an easier way to do this in a future version.
goo.gl lite 1.9 works well Rated 5 out of 5 stars
and flawlessly in Firefox 13.
It is a very good seamless alternative to goo.gl URL Shortener extension for Chrome.
Question to the developer: any particular reason why the version 1.9 is not signed?
1.9 is "preliminary reviewed" as Mozilla terms it. They didn't grant fully reviewed because my add-on includes oauthorizer. Also, that add-on/resource (not the code I wrote) uses synchronous AJAX in parts. I haven't had a chance to fully discuss or address this. However, I believe the current add-on is safe to use.
