Not working Rated 4 out of 5 stars
This add-on is not working with Classic Theme Restorer any more. It stopped working about 10 days ago. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (31.1.3).
Default color missing Rated 2 out of 5 stars
I need to color only few domains and I like to let other tabs with a default color.
This addon colors all tabs.
NOT Multi-Process Compatible Rated 3 out of 5 stars
Despite being marked as multi-process compatible as of v31.1.3, the domain-based coloring of tabs feature is still entirely broken with multi-process enabled.
This add-on is still excellent for single-process users, but it's disingenuous to claim multi-process compatibility when key features are broken.
Great add-on, install page shows dodgy ads Rated 1 out of 5 stars
The extension does what it says. However, upon installation it opened up a landing page with ads for sexual services. Not acceptable! This review is for a previous version of the add-on (31.1.2).

Simple but useful! Rated 5 out of 5 stars
Simple but useful. Uses next to no resources. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (31.1.1).
Not "Verified" Rated 5 out of 5 stars
This morning my ColorfulTabs was updated. However there was a conflict with Personas Plus. I disabled PP, and CT still had issues. I uninstalled CT and tried to re-install CT. But FF is now claiming the CT is not verified and will not install it.
BTW, Loved it before it broke.
Missing one big feature Rated 4 out of 5 stars
The addon would be 5 stars if only it would have the option to automatically color the tab based on the color of the tab's favicon. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (31.1.0).
It's working now, but it took a while to troubleshoot Rated 3 out of 5 stars
WORKAROUND INSIDE. This didn't work out-of-the-box for me. First, it broke the Aurora channel 52.0a2 (Jan 13th build I think). So I downgraded to regular Firefox.
I made a fresh profile install of 50.0.2 release branch, and it still didn't work. It seems all the default themes override tab color. I also have Tab Mix Plus, Tree Style Tabs, and Session Manager so I can't rule out a conflict there.
In order to get this to work, I had to install "Classic Theme Restorer" and play with the options on "Tabs - Page 1". Specifically, I had to change the two drop-down menus at the top of "Tabs - Page 1" until I found a setting that worked with Colorful Tabs.
There are also bugs with Colorful Tabs where it stops applying color to new pages for a while. And another bug where changing some of the settings will cause Colorful Tabs to break until the browser is restarted. Related to that, sometimes the settings take effect instantly and other times it takes a browser restart to change them.
I wish the developer would work on specifically ensuring compatibility with other frequently used addons, such as Tab Mix Plus and even the default installation Firefox theme.
ColorfulTabs A REAL USEFUL ADD-ON Rated 5 out of 5 stars
Humans have colour vision, so why not colorful tabs, especially when each domain can be user preset! This review is for a previous version of the add-on (31.1.0).

Superb... Rated 5 out of 5 stars
At first I could not realized which tab is active and I decided to uninstall it. But looking at "options" I saw two ways to do so... I liked it...This review is for a previous version of the add-on (31.0.9).
Tabs more visible Rated 5 out of 5 stars
With colors, the tabs get much more contrast. One can group by domains, etc.
Nice is also to highlight the active tab with bold letters, leaving more blurred letters in the other tabs.
The FIRST Modification I make to a New Install Rated 5 out of 5 stars
I'm a Power User, I never shut down and always have at least 20 tabs open. Colorful Tabs lets me find the content I'm looking for in a flash.
It also makes switching back and forth between tabs very easy.
It might be new or that I just found the option, but I can make non-selected tabs slightly dimmer, brightening my current tab. A small change but it helps quite a bit.
I've donated in the past and I will do so again. Over the years this Add On has become essential to me.
I appreciate your good work.
Doesn't work with Tab Mix Plus Rated 1 out of 5 stars
It doesn't color tabs. While I have Tab MIx Plus colors set on the current tab and tabs that are loading. I have no other preferences. So this extension does not override a TMP specified color, it also does color a tab with no specified color.
I need TMP for such things as removing Session Manager and keeping Fx from closing the browser when I close the last tab and for editing the menus. Other extensions override TMP colors if none are specified.
I am removing this now.

Cool feature! It makes more colorful, attractive. Thank you! A wonderful addition! This review is for a previous version of the add-on (31.0.9).
To retain the original highlighted curved tab (for the current tab)... Rated 5 out of 5 stars
Since I see many complaining about the square tabs...there is an easy workaround to restore the current tab to be curved. It never bothered me much in itself; I was more concerned with easily discerning the current tab in use. The option to 'Highlight the currently selected tab' doesn't help, and the Fading feature doesn't help enough. Note; I only use the 'color tabs by domain hostname' feature. Back when Australis came to be, the currently selected tab showed up like the FF default highlighted curved tab. But later versions of CT changed that, so I modified the clrtabs.css file until signed add-ons were (fully) required.
There's an easy workaround; use v23.9.
Shiv, it would be great if the 'Highlight the currently selected tab' could replicate how the current tab is shown in v23.9. Or, maybe it could be an option to toggle it with Fading.
Thanks for an otherwise great add-on!
