Major issue Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Dead with lies below, his version isn't anywhere on his given site below.
& the actual amo version doesn't work with many firefox versions when it claims to be working on versions up to v56
for the latest version. issue: the history is still unified..

Author's remark:

"Dev Version Released Fri, Feb 7, 2014 --- 2/7/14, 1:19:19am EST

I've uploaded the current development version ( to my site. I still need to test the new version on Nightly (Australis), Aurora & Beta.

Some version will be uploaded to AMO soon/eventually, but it's quicker to just dump it on my site..."

Just installed this addon. It does what it claims to do. Rated 3 out of 5 stars

... but the forward button looks weird, very tall and vertically squished-looking compared to back button, which causes it to vertically expand the toolbar on which it is installed.

Needs update to allow holding a button to show history Rated 3 out of 5 stars

I like the idea of this addon, and I also like the way the way it works with Pale Moon and the buttons look like the ones from themes and everything. However, there's a glaring issue with this theme: It's back/forward don't show history by holding the button--you have to use the "dropmarkers" or right-click. on them. the dropmarkers take up too much space and shouldn't really need to be there since just holding the button to get the history is much more efficient. Once this is fixed, and/or preferences are implemented it'll be a 5-star addon.

In 38.4 (ESR) there's now seperate back/forward buttons to use, but there's also still integrated buttons on the left side of the adress bar; and it does nothing for the stop & refresh buttons :(.

Switched to this from CTR - trying to lighten the addon load - because this is the most important part for me. I can't/won't use a browser w/o back button on right next to scrollbar. I don't mind having back button in both places. :)

Thanks for taking this over! Rated 4 out of 5 stars

I agree, Australis is BAD! NoUn Buttons has been a great fix, and I was afraid it would be abandoned. So thanks, JSLover, for taking it on.

One problem that has started recently: The Back and Forward buttons are acting like the Back Dropdown and Forward Dropdown, when they should just jump to the next/previous page in the list.

Thank You! You know, It's not so much that I dislike the new Firefox UI in fact I've come to like it quite a bit. It's just what they've done with the back and forward buttons that have me ticked. I keep clicking in the wrong place and it's been driving me nuts ever since this started!

Like many I'm sure, I thought after awhile I would get used to it and forget all about the old buttons...boy was I wrong lol

I can certainly see trying out something new as the Firefox Dev team has done, but for the love of god they could have given us the option of moving the buttons where we want them as with all the other buttons in Firefox. At any rate, enough ranting.

Thank again to the developer of this extension for giving me the ability to correct the issue and restore my sanity. Now hopefully the next update of Firefox won't bugger it all up again.

As a foot note to anyone reading this, I know Firefox is free and I know it's one of if not the best web browser available. I appreciate all the work the Mozilla teams put into Firefox and I appreciate the hard work of all those who make extensions for us to use free of charge. The problem is, I'm a productivity junkie.

If something slows me down or causes me to make a mistake that sucks away even a millisecond of my time I get extremely annoyed.

So to sum this up, thank you to the Mozilla/Firefox teams and an extra...yes a third, thank you to the developer of this extension.

navigation color don't match firefox back and forward navigation colors, confusing Rated 3 out of 5 stars

At last! Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Good, old back button!
But suddenly stopped working as supposed and start showing only drop-down menu. Weird. Hope developer will check.

Bravo! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Thank you so much! I can't understand why limited options seems like a good idea to the Mozilla team.

It works, mostly. Rated 4 out of 5 stars

I wanted to separate the back and forward buttons, it does that. Also wanted to put the throbber back, it doesn't do that on the default theme, it puts throbber icon on LavaFox but it doesn't do anything. Option to remove stop/reload buttons from url bar is a nice touch. Not sure about other buttons since I am not using them. Also the only colors on menu button are black or white. I tried the Pale Moon browser, but it crashes everytime I click a button on it.

Great Extension Rated 5 out of 5 stars

This fixed a very annoying problem... thank you for publishing.

Is there any way to make the back button have default behavior to just go back a page, instead of showing the drop-down menu first and then going back after a second click (or just using double-click)? If you ever get an options dialog that would be a good option to include... thanks.

Cool perfect thanks !!! ;-)

To the developer: This extension has been broken in the last two UX Nightlies because the URL bar and the back/forward button have been combined into one taskbar element ( It sounds like it'll also break on the downstream channels whenever the new Australis theme lands.

I guess the fix would be to create a standalone URL bar.

Anyways, thanks for your work on this!

A great add-on that everybody needs, thanks to the idiots who decided to make the backwards/forwards buttons into ONE button. My only complaint about this add-on is that I KNEW what I was looking for, but it took me an HOUR to find it. You should add some more tags to it's description, like "separate buttons".

Thx for your review & comments!

The string "separate buttons" was already in the "About this Add-on" section, but I don't know if that would help in searching.

I have edited the Description, sprinkling it with the word "separate". I have also edited the Tags, adding: separate, separate back and forward, separate buttons. There is a limit of 20 tags & I was already using 18 before, so I had to remove some old ones to fit the new ones in.

Hopefully, it's more findable now?

Anyway, thx for the review! -- I find Firefox unusable out-of-the-box...I need at least 15+ Addons just to make it "normal", NoUn Buttons being one of them.

Congratulations is very useful. Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Please. you can do. All bookmarks refresh All icon. After backup no icon in the bookmarks and in Show All bookmark. Continued success!

P.S.- Please tell me if you can.

Eeeee, awesome! SO much more space for the stuff I actually DO use! Thank you for getting rid of that retarded forward button that I can't even fathom the purpose of! You RULE!

It's back! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Thank you for making NoUN Buttons compatible with FF 11! Lack of this add-on was the reason I was still using 3.6!. On notebooks with difficult right mouse button accessibility it makes Firefox much better!

NoUn Buttons is BACK! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

JSLover's update has NoUn Buttons working on FX10 on the Mac.

This is great stuff! The ability to display separated histories on the unified B/F button means that this new version doesn't suffer from the previous problems with theme compatibility.

Nice going, JSLover! Kudos to you for bringing this back from the grave!
