When selecting Settings from the button sometimes the settings window only shows the settings popup menu (which then doesn't work). It looks like the settings window is only just big enough to show the popup in the bottom right corner.
This doesn't happen every time and then only the first time after launching FF which leads me to believe there is some uninitialized value somewhere.
I know we aren't supposed to report bugs here but I see no other channel to do it for this particular addon.
Using FF37.0.2, OSX 10.6.7.
Update: It appears that the above behavior I described is due to trying to grab the Screengrab settings before FF has completed all it's own initialization. I have about 50 addons and a web page (or more) to open during FF launch so startup is noticeably slower than if I only had a few addons. If I just wait a small amount of time the settings always work. So what I was confusing an "uninitialized setting" is really just a timing problem.
Request preferences... Rated 4 out of 5 stars
To clarify my earlier post plus what I have read below I think this addon would satisfy most if it had at least the following preference (checkboxes to enable/disable).
1. Auto open window when a download starts.
2. Auto clear completed downloads in the window as soon as each completes.
3. Auto close window if empty.
I often do multiple concurrent downloads (which is why using the many status bar add-ons is useless to me). I like seeing the download progress of each download as it is downloading. But I don't want to see the download window when they are all done.
Good download manager replacement Rated 4 out of 5 stars
Thank you for this addon. This is the closest approximation yet to a replacement for the "old" download window.
I hadn't used this addon before so based on what UltimateGTR wrote below thanks for remembering the window position (where do you save it by the way?).
Also, unlike UltimateGTR, I actually prefer the window opening and closing automatically. So this begs the question/request; how about some preferences? Maybe one to enable/disable what UltimateGTR wants but personally I would like a preference to automatically delete completed downloads from the window without having to click the button.
Does not work in FF22 Rated 5 out of 5 stars
Unfortunately FF22 finally broke this add-on.
