It works great on Arch Linux with latest kernel, latest Thunderbird. For those of you that say you don't need this, Not everyone wants to hack their Thunderbird. I wish more plugins just plain friggin worked.
Thankd for the update!!This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2.8.2). This user has a previous review of this add-on.
My thanks to the fine individual who patched this and put it on Github. I was finally able to update Firefox for the first time since version 21.https://github.com/zcattacz/redirect-removerThis user has 2 previous reviews of this add-on.
Ok, I'll pick up the project! Just one problem; someone needs to teach me how to do it...lol I really need this one to work. Guess I'll just stck to 21 until then. This user has other reviews of this add-on.
I was a little bummed when I first found the extension because it said that it was not compatable with my platform, but then it gave me an option to download it for Windows anyway. Wouldn't you know it? It works great! Just what I've been looking for. I'm not sure why it says what it does, but whatever. I'm running Arch Linux. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2.7.3).
It appears as though version 21 was the last to offer support for this add-on. Anyone wanting to use it should stick with that version. That's what I do. I use Arch Linux, so I have to re compile after updates but I keep a copy of the archive in /var/cache/pacman/pkg/
