First of all, thank you for fixing the icon issue. However, my other issue has not been fixed yet.
In the past, as I mentioned in my previous review, whenever I choose the option "Select Day", then delete one of the "Current and past occurrences", the other reminders remain in the windows which enable me to delete other current occurrences as well. But in the new version, after I delete one of the reminders, the whole list disappeared. I have either restart the Reminder window, or clicked the day in the calendar to bring back all other reminders.
I reverted back to the old versions (18.104.22.168) which brings back the option. but next day, ReminderFox updated itself to the latest version again.
So is it possible to stop ReminderFox to update itself automatically. I would like to use the previous version my issue is being fixed.
I agree with all the users saying that the latest update is a complete mess. I just don't understand why developers do not consider the user's point of view before releasing any updates.
The latest update has these problems:
1. Two icons in Firefox, one in Menu Bar and the other one in Status Bar. I only need one and would prefer in the Menu Bar. But it seems there's no way to do that. So I am stuck with two icons.
2. Whenever I delete a reminder of the current date, all the rest of the reminders of the same date are gone and I have to choose "Select Day" to display them again. In the past, whenever I delete a reminder of the current date, the rest remained so I can delete some of the rest as well.
The Help Section is completely out-dated, it does not even come close to the latest version. So you can't get any help from the Help Section.
I still love ReminderFox but just with the developer will fix the above issues.
PS: I would have given 5 stars if not because of the above issues.
Thank you, Zitronius, I installed the Development version 2013.09.14.22b and the progress bar is back! This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2013.02.16.23). This user has a previous review of this add-on.
After upgraded to FF 25, the progress bar has disappeared. I missed that and please put it back. Now the only way I know the loading status is from the tab. Not very convenient.
Today I tried to download a YouTube video using this add-on in Firefox, for some reason, it failed,. So I went to Chrome, installed this add-on, and then tried to download the same video, then I received the error saying: "Sorry, the video cannot be downloaded as it did not abide to Google policy", something like that (I couldn't remember the exact wording'. And I guess it's because YouTube and Chrome are owned by Google, that's why it prohibited users from downloading any YouTube videos. I went back to Firefox and tried again, and this time, I was able to download the YouTube video successfully. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (3.8.8).
Version 2.8.3 fixed the Hotmail problem. Thank you. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2.8.3).
I do not have any memory leak problem until I upgraded to 8.0. Now mine usually runs between 800K to 1.5GB. I have tried Memory Fox several times but just couldn't find much difference. Yes, the memory usage has reduced to around 500K but the PERCENTAGE of CPU usage is still around 50% which should have been around 10-20% based on the total memory I have. I have been watching the Process and found that FF fluctuates a lot after Memory Fox started, the Memory Usage remains around 500K but the CPU % ranges between 15-50%. That is odd. By the way, I am using XP SP3.
To: Silverhawk -- I just want to let you know that I went to megaupload and download the 1192 version and installed it into my Firefox 5 this morning. It worked very well and with no problem at all. Thank you very much for your effort.
PS: I am using Windows XP SP3.
Is it just me or anyone else has the same problem? It has been almost two days now that Firefox Sync couldn't sync successfully. It used to give me the "Unknown error" message, now the message won't even show up! And when I move my mouse cursor over the Sync icon, nothing shows up either (it used to show the last time it was sync successfully). When I tried to sync in my HTC EVO 4G, it won't either. Something is really wrong! Any ideas? Thank you. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.7). This user has 2 previous reviews of this add-on.
dave064 -- This program is for Firefox browser only. You have to have Firefox installed in your mobile phone to use it.This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.7). This user has other reviews of this add-on.
This review is not really for this add-on but for the FF4 built-in Sync. However, since they are basically the same, I'll post my review here as there's none for the built-in version. I have been using the built-in version since I updated to FF4 and do not have much problems. Once a while, the sync did not work and gave me the "unknown" error and asked me to open the "Preference" to make changes, whatever the reason is. But in the last four days, Sync has not been able to finish its sync very frequently. Eventually, during the day, it'll sync successfully. It seems there's a glitch in the Sync system that is causing this problem. I don't know if anyone at Mozilla is aware of it and maybe it's a bug that need to be fixed. At least it was able to sync at least once a day, and it was also successfully sync my laptop with my HTC EVO 4G. But wasn't able to sync periodically is a disappointment since changes are being made all the time. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.7).
I followed silverhawk'a instructions to edit the xpi file, and it worked perfectly. I am glad I got 1-Click Weather add-on back as have been using it for a long time and really love it.
By the way, do you know there's another add-on called 1 Click Weather for Firefox? You might want to tell your users that that is not the same as yours. I went there trying to download it thinking it was yours. Luckily, I went to the website first before I went ahead to download.
Thank you, Michael, for updating it so it's working now with FF 3.6.
I have emailed the developer of this add-on when FF 3.6 came out and asked him if he would kindly update it so it will work with FF 3.6. I did not receive a reply and so far no fix has been done. It's too bad that developers have to stop updating their add-ons in order to work with new versions of browsers. I do not want to install the "fix" that other users have recommended because I believe it's the developer's responsibility to fix it, not a third party. If the developer does not want to fix it, then we just have to forget this add-on and stop supporting it. What about when FF 3.7 comes out in the future, another 3rd party have to come in to find a fix instead of the original developer?
So goodbye "AutoCopy", I love this add-on when it is working and now I have to stop using it until the developer is willing to update this add-on.
