This is a very nice addon and I appreciate the efforts of this project as the only thing that Chrome has that FF doesn't is this. The function of this addon is actually better looking than chrome because it blends with the OS notification system...at least it does on Linux. However the problem with this addon is that eventually it stops working. When you first start the addon or first start the browser the notifications work GREAT but after a little time the notifications just stop even if you go to a site that has demos where you can test it by forcing the notifications to show.
*Using Firefox 6.0.2 on Ubuntu 10.10
Please Update this addon?!?This user has a previous review of this add-on.
This addon is exactly what I was looking for and more so...I originally didn't give it enough time to thoroughly test everything and when I used the Bookmarks Sidebar to view thumbnails and it didn't work...I stopped there but after Michael Koch responded to show me my error I reinstalled to test further and realized it has it's own gui for viewing thumbnails and that works better than I expected so this addon could have a few tweaks to improve it but for what I wanted this addon is perfect.

From a user experience XMarks should have just closed...good job selling your company but LastPass ruined it.
Newest versions are removing Password sync because of the LastPass buy out. :(
The thing that made XMarks great was the ability to sync all of your browser content such as bookmarks, passwords, open tabs and more. Unfortunately, LastPass bought this product and removed the passwords feature because they have a competing product and that was one of the reasons I used the addon. The main reason I used XMarks though was the ability to use my own server so I know my passwords can't be compromised but thanks to LastPass that is also going away because they dont support it with their own product.
Recently XMarks has been erroring like crazy and the errors only started since the past couple updates (since LastPass)
- I'm a fan of the LastPass product but it doesn't do all I need and it doesnt allow BYOS (Bring Your Own Server) so I don't want to use it. And since their purchase of XMarks...I now don't have a syncing tool to do it at all. So thanks for that.
XMarks used to be a 5 but now it is just a 2.
This extension works perfectly. Most of these types of extensions don't work in Linux and although this one doesn't actually claim to work in Linux it certainly does. I use it with Opera, Chrome and Epiphany. (if there was a way to use IE8 and Safari I would but of course those are for Windows)This review is for a previous version of the add-on (4.1.0).
this addon looks like it could be incredibly useful and I would certainly like to see for myself. However it needs to be updated as it is way behind in FF releases so until that day comes...it's useless ...unfortunately.
please update this extension to 3.6This review is for a previous version of the add-on (3.1.0).
very nice extension and very very useful however like CAD bloke said it doesn't work in 3.6 as the install for 1.9 is invalid.
I'll make another review when this is fixed but until the 3/5
Ads in an extension? rbww you just destroyed any sense of popularity you or your extensions had. As I see it, I wouldn't use anything you made even if it guaranteed to make ME money. Freakin prick.
When I first installed Feedly I didn't expect much of it because I already was a big user of Google Reader so I didnt expect it to move me away from actually using the Reader interface...well it did and now I can't really see myself using RSS without Feedly. LOVE IT...and especially love the inline videos feature. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2.0a).
Wow this is a very nice addon and the service is freakin awesome. Thanks for this. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.0.2).
This addon is pretty much dead since it hasn't been updated in a while and is still classified as "experimental". So for those who are looking for something like this try CLEO, OPIE and FEBE which you can get from here https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/search?q=cleo&cat=all
I love this extension...it comes in handy so much...the custom coded features is outstanding as well. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.5.2.4).
