I hate some of the changed FF 29+ made, this takes care of them, It's the first thing I added after the update.
Job well done.
If you spend any time on Reddit you need this suite. The Inline Image View and Never Ending Reddit are two of my favorite features.
Once in a great while it will stop functioning, I have to close and Reopen FF - been that way for at least version 20-22 of FF. Also, the mouse stops scrolling sometimes and I have to switch to another tab. It may be an add-on incompatibility with one of the other add-ons I have or simply a bug. No big deal either way.
Folks 1.61 beta IS available and works with FF 9.0
Scroll down to the bottom of the page, select the chevrons in the VERSION INFORMATION section to expand it. Select SEE COMPLETE VERSION HISTORY link. 1.61 beta is there, hover the mouse of the title VERSION 1.6B1 and the ADD button shows.
Evernote has been a staple of mine for years, I have used it from version 2 way back. This extension really helps integrate it into Firefox and is vital for web clipping. Evernote features cross platform integration too, Windows, Mac, Android iDevices, all can access the SAME online notes and cache the notes offline. As Jerry Pournelle often says; Highly recommended!
Please hurry and get the new version for FF 8 ready! Even editing the extensions RDF file internally to a higher version doesn't allow it to function. I miss it!
As Sadi mentioned in previous review, you must change the max version, HOWEVER the APP BUTTON apparently does not work, I cannot find a way to activate it. Hopefully this will be addressed in a future version. Till then you must customize the toolbar and add the compact MENU entry. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (4.2.0). This is for version 4.0 of Compact Menu - Well, I edited the install.rdf and changed it to read just 4.0 in FF section, installed it and got NO restart confirmation, I restart FF and it doesn't work - nothing happens, add-on is ENABLED still not compact menu. Any ideas? This review is for a previous version of the add-on (4.0). This user has other reviews of this add-on.
This WILL work on FF 4.0 with some help. The easy way is to install 7-ZIP (Google it), then download add-on with IE or an older version of FF. Associate the .XPI extension with 7-ZIP by double clicking it, when Windows complains about no association tell it 7-ZIP. With the XPI open RIGHT click on the install.rdf and choose EDIT. Find the line "<em:maxVersion>3.6.*</em:maxVersion>" and change the 3.6 to 4.0, close notepad, save the file, 7-ZIP then prompts to save the edited file in the archive. Say YES. Open FF, go to Add-Ons and just drag and drop the XPI file on the add-ons dialog or choose install from file from the menu. Restart FF, add the anchor button to whatever toolbar you want and enjoy.
Been using this for ages, switched to FF 4 and really miss it.
Any chance of an update for 4?
I know a lot of guys don't support beta products but I sure miss this since I started using 3.1 beta. Wish it would work! Nothing saves or shows up.This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.5.6).
Suprised no one thought of this before!\r\n\r\nNeed to retain the ability to clear the search history, it\'s gone from the RIGHT click context menu once this extension is enabled. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2.1).
