Auto Unload Tab

Superior Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Tried them all but this one has the best stability, a wide feature set in the settings as well as context menu and the developer responds quickly to issues.

Great add-on slowely falling appart Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Perfectly merges the URL and search bar, while maintaining sufficient privacy by allowing the search suggestions only to come up when the engine's keyword is typed. Due to lack of maintenance it has however been falling apart with code syntax in the URL presentation, a browser freezing link to the old search engine management and broken switching to open tabs as of Firefox 47.

Toolbar Position Changer

Impressive Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Very intuitively integrated with the new webpage based options and the only variation that works properly with "Hide Tab Bar With One Tab". Indispensable for people who have an application dock at the top of their screen.

Solid alternative Rated 5 out of 5 stars

It's one of the few merged URL-search bars that easily allows me to only restrict search suggestions to when I first type in a search engine keyword, which I think is crucial for a privacy focused browser.

Meanwhile, as the previous review has noted, there are some irregular internal suggestions as of Firefox 43. In addition I also can't bring up the "Manage Search Engines" menu from the search engine list without locking up the browser interface, probably because Mozilla has replaced that with the in-browser "about:preferences#search" version.

Menu Wizard

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Coming from Menu Editor, the build quality alone is already a breath of fresh air. Meanwhile the way you can directly edit menu and see what has been removed is so much more user friendly. Truly excellent add-on!

Secure Login

Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Works well most of the time and has very customizable integration, but there is one glaring defect. Multiple accounts are shown in alphabetical order in the right-click menu, but the underlying order is actually the one that you entered them over time. Hence the usernames don't match with the logins and you need to remember the right order every time...

Informational Tab

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Great add-on, but there seems to be a little problem in FF4.0RC1. Sometimes the progress bar does not span the entire tab, but is squished in a corner: http://imgur.com/K2FnW

Tab Utilities

Rated 4 out of 5 stars

I really like the add-on functionality wise, it performs great when many tabs are open (in contrast to some competitors) and it works well with the BarTab add-on. I do have one problem though: when I set a user defined URL to load when I open a new tab, the address bar isn't focused. This means I can't enter a new URL or tab over to the search box, when I'm not interested in the user defined URL. I therefore wish the address bar focusing was the same as when opening blank new tabs.

[[[Edit]]] Thank you for the tip! The implementation is a bit tricky however: the address bar only becomes available once the user defined URL has loaded. This means that there is no-response if I press too quickly, for example when moving to the search box with a single 'tab'. TMP's method of having the URL always selected seems to work better (still sticking with TU though ;)).

Couldn't do without this add-on.

Shareaholic | share with Google, Facebook and more

Love the add-on. I'm however wondering about the goo.gl support, because another quarter has gone by since the "it's coming soon" promise.

X-notifier (for Gmail,Hotmail,Yahoo,AOL ...)

Tabbar Broken Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I'm using Firefox4.0b11 with "tabs on top" disabled. When I install Webmail Notifier it breaks the Windows (7) interface integration and it makes the background of the tabbar the same blue solid color as the WN-toolbar. Even when I disable the toolbar through "View -> Toolbars -> WebMail Notifier". I really like the extension, but I don't want it messing up interface components that have nothing to do with it.

Had a nicely quick response from the developer and this seems to be a problem with Firefox itself and also occurs for other add-ons with toolbars.
