Drag Tab as Shortcut

Problem with this add-on in FF 18 Rated 5 out of 5 stars

An excellent add-on, which has served me well over the years. Unfortunately, although it still works in FF 18, it now blocks one's ability to drag tabs within the tab bar to reorder them, so I have had to stop using it until this issue has been fixed.

bug489729 (Disable detach and tear off tab)

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I'm so glad that Bug489729 add-on has been updated to work in FF4! In fact Tab Mix Plus has stopped the inadvertent tearing off of tabs, BUT neither that nor anything other than this add-on appears to enable dragging tabs to the desktop or into other browsers. Thank you for keeping this extremely useful facility available - and for making it so in the first place.

WindowShopper - Discover Visually

Horrendously intrusive Rated 1 out of 5 stars

I tried this add-on because I thought it would work in the discreet and helpful way that Invisible Hand does, and simply give some additional price comparisons. In the event its assault of grossly intrusive pop-ups when I visited a site such as Amazon made it a no-brainer to kick out at once.

Also, I noted that all the prices that it offered were in $, which was stupid for a user in the UK and visiting UK shopping sites. So, useless anyway, and an intolerable aggravation into the bargain. I note too that one FF add-on developer has very 'kindly' insinuated Window Shopper into the computers of users of his add-on IE Tab Plus, causing a well justified outcry from his user base.

IE Tab Plus (FF 5+, 4+, 3.6+)

I'm shocked - 'Goodbye' to that auto-update! Rated 1 out of 5 stars

This has been an excellent FF add-on, and now I have to chuck it out because of this Window Shopper adware. I note that the latter isn't listed among my add-ons, so it must have come in integrated with IE Tab Plus, and thus I can't remove it separately. I'm particularly surprised that it's a basically really good FF add-on that has brought adware to my computer, because I'm generally extremely careful security-wise, and had never before had unintentionally got adware on my computer. In fact I'd recently tried Supershopper as an add-on in its own right, and I had promptly kicked it off my system when a visit to Amazon found me assaulted with exasperatingly intrusive Window Shopper pop-ups - so it's with a wry smile that I have to kick it off again, but of course with disappointment that IE Tab Plus has to go too.

Later edit: Thank you, other reviewers who have pointed out that a 'clean' version of the same nominal version of IE Tab Plus is available! I have now installed this. However, I assume that when a new update appears, if the official auto-update still has that adware attached, then I'll have the hassle of uninstalling it again and checking to see whether a 'clean' version of that version is available. But I expect the developer will have learnt his lesson by then and most likely would no longer be messing about with add-ons to his add-on.

I retain the one-star rating for the auto-update version, but my rating otherwise (i.e. for the clean version) is 5-star - a really nice piece of work.

Rated 1 out of 5 stars

This add-on simply doesn't work at all on my system (FF 3.6.3 and Win7 Home Premium). That is, I see absolutely nothing happen after I've clicked the 'Ping all links' right-click menu option.

IE Tab Plus (FF 5+, 4+, 3.6+)

Like probably most other users, I'd come to Coral IE Tab when I'd been left high and dry by the incompatibility of the original IE Tab and FF 3.6. I approached it with great diffidence on account of the various problems people were reporting in their reviews.

Having been using Coral IE Tab for some time now, I have to say that on my Win7 system, and with quite a number of FF add-ons, Coral IE Tab has functioned flawlessly as far as I can tell, and I've greatly welcomed the cookie sync between FF and IE and indeed the Ablock Plus support in both browsers.

And I much appreciate the good work of the author in addressing the issues that had given problems for some people, even though I've not been affected by them.

Just what I wanted - sound alerts, using my own custom sounds, for the very discreet FF notifications that I often overlook otherwise, without my having to have sounds for any other events (which would be an annoyance for me).

However, just at the moment there seems to be no facility to get a sound for the Accept Cookie dialogs that often pop up, and if at all possible I would like these to be included in the standard list of events.

Incredible Bookmarks

Great as far as it goes... Rated 4 out of 5 stars

I wanted an add-on specifically to give clear visual distinction between my bookmark toolbar buttons, which are now nearly all folders and were looking horribly similar. For this reason I haven't been exploring all its capabilities yet, but it does appear to give much greater flexibility in managing and displaying bookmarks.

IB would be really great for me if it worked differently in the following ways:

1. Colour coding of bookmarks to include ability to set background colour for bookmark title.

2. Colour coding or alternative folder icons available to replace the standard folder icons

3. To have display of the long configuration button on the left of the IB toolbar toggled by an option in the extreme left IB configuration button. That way, I could have a maximum of space on the toolbar for my bookmarks.
