Just always works and is so flexible and gives you good screen space, eg in Australis i had everything on the statusbar now it's a fight for space so i can use the tiny button where before i had the huge one, alter the hover behaviour due to my hand problems etc. I've been using this a few years now (can't say that of many addons, mainly cos i try to fight my OCD by switching things around a lot) over many versions of firefox and changing what i need, and i always need this. One of the very few addons i've added to PaleMoon as well (i'm an addon addict, about 40: this one doesn't seem to interact with them: but i need a browser alternative for when i've broken firefox again with my weird habits) because i missed the screen space so much. NB cf other reviews, i'm on windows. Just to say thanks for years of good service. This user has a previous review of this add-on.
Excellent. Doesn't insist on reloading the page every time you switch it on and off, easy to enable images for just one or two tabs. This user has a previous review of this add-on.
i thought i wrote a review but it's gone. Ok, FF29 ruined tabs on the bottom with Super Tab Mode, installed this in desperation after looking everywhere, and not only do i like it but i prefer it, hides all the junk on the right hand side of the page (newspapers are particular offenders). Great:)
I had all my tabs on the bottom (i hate the side) using Super Tab Mode, until today's FF29 which means i can either have a inch wide slice gone at the top, stoop more and hurt my back worse, or i can - not see my tabs! As i usually have 50+ open, small problem. Installed this today, and working perfectly! So, opposite experience to the previous guy, thanks. Perfect.
I should have thanked you sooner, for saving my posture/back with your 'tabs at the bottom' option, but it's only now the new firefox (29?) has meant that makes them disappear entirely that i realise how good what i lost was. Thanks, anyway. This user has a previous review of this add-on.
I have OCD and often can't tear myself away from thousands of open tabs. But i don't want to save all the pages or bookmark them, i just want to know i can start where i left off so i can kid myself i've finished. Works perfectly. Seems to be very lightweight.
speeds up browsing, removes visual nuisance, and saves the planet a tiny bit by not wasting energy sending images i don't want that only came from some agency down the pipes of the internet... Used to block everything, now fails on tumblr and some other sites (tumblr doesn't matter really as who goes there for text?) but still works on newspapers, facebook etc which are otherwise unbearable. Fully recommended for the autistic! Good option to not auto-reload when change permissions, so can allow a photoset on one tab then block images again.
Also made me realise how racist the UK is: every time i enable it on a newspaper, i see photos of rich or powerful white people and black criminals... (i know they're mixed - in fact crime is certainly the least racist area of the UK) but the overwhelming experience is that, really makes me feel for black kids growing up here...
long story: my touchpad is foul, i have to use a mouse, i can't afford a new one so only have two buttons so i use Right Links addon (replaces right-click with opening in another tab, like mid-button). Ace. But 'save as' for images? Timewasting, as i'm OCD with tumblr. But this saves the day! Always works, much less clicking, far faster. I don't need to disable Right Links to use this! Won't save a more high-res image if that's what you're redirected to on clicking the original, as sometimes are, but ace - works nearly always. Used to overule instagram etc but now i have to use 'snip' tool. (I don't, in general, want to steal images, it's just my collecting is compulsive, i can't stop myself.) Quickly went to my small must-have list of addons.
still using this years afterwards, best Delicious addon - quick, doesn't incorporate into sidebar which is a huge problem for me because i have too many links (almost half a million) so browser crashes, highlighted text nearly always saves as note (not comments sections) - essential. NB ignore my previous review, not true anymore but i can't delete itThis review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.5).
sweet and simple. Cleared a surprising amount from my browser. I used to think that, because i delete most of them, adding lots of addons didn't make my browser slower, but there was a notable increase in speed after using this. (I am an addons addict, admittedly, but if you are too, you should add this.)
I wanted to save a copy of my twitter favourites, all 196 pages of it - this addon alone of many i tried didn't crash, fail to handle the data, or only copy the first few pages, and i tried all the ones i could find here (doesn't mean i didn't missed some but pretty thorough. I tried all 'save as image' 'save as text' 'save as pdf' type addons, and twitter specific addons, and any other method addon). Bit pixellated-y, but clear enough to read. Excellent. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.1.8.0).
couldn't live without it.
One request: please could there be a line at the bottom of the summary page showing the total hours of all the previous weeks? No more. I just want to reduce the time i spend online and i forgot to note my previous week totals. Not all weeks! Maybe 6 or 8? Lightweight is important, this is not though:) Thanks.
saves so much spaceThis review is for a previous version of the add-on (2.7.2).
only one i can get to work to do this. Excellent. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.83).
Oh my lovely lenovo keyboard interface. Oh the foul toshiba one. Saved by an extremely expensive mouse Christmas present. With only 2 buttons. I don't want to spend 3 clicks opening tabs, and have to choose 2 equally annoying tab settings (open all in front or all behind). Lifesaver. If there are issues on google maps, as alleged, i don't care, it's a tiny price to pay. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.3.7.2).
works perfectly, prevents SO much irritation!, and wastes not a gram of CPU. ThanksThis review is for a previous version of the add-on (188.8.131.52).
the most essential and best addon of allThis review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.9.7). This user has a previous review of this add-on.
Good, except 1)bit thin. actually looking for Opera, but doesn't matter, it's fine. About double thickness would be perfect for me. 2)HAS to go on right side for me-i love that you can do that-but i have to check or uncheck the options box each time i open firefox, alternately - whatever it was last time,i have to reverse. And then it moves to the right hand side. Not sure if interacting with vertical toolbar or other extension, and no trouble however. Thanks a lot, i am sick of back pain from screwing myself down to waist height to view text at a comfortable height, whilst raising my arms high to type as if i was a dog begging! This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.9.3).
I love this addon.Pretty much seems to always work, like delicious, however dodgy your wireless connection. I use it a ridiculous amount, i've had hundreds of downloaded pages. The choice to download html or text only means you can save a page or just plain text. Essential if you have eg no internet at home or in your room! Please do not just replace it with the bookmark toolbar pocket addon,i won't waste screenspace on a toolbar! This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2.1.4).
I found this addon excellent until my computer fell on the floor and smashed, at which point i discovered there was no backup, despite having registered online using my email. There's supposed to be, i believe, just like there's an MIT contact page with an email address that doesn't work. So although it's very good because it's simple and doesn't drag your memory down, it's not very good if you want to keep the notes. I would suggest diigo or using something else with IFTTT eg to delicious if you need to keep it. I'm now installing it again in the hope my old notes mysteriously reappear:) but very good and light addon otherwise.
