This is a great utility.
Note: Trying to search with the current version (Nov 14) does not work on Firefox 16.0.2 on Windows 7 with classic desktop theme.
This works great but it's hard to configure rules that match even just one site. I have two or three rules for individual sites that I want to bypass the proxy. Other than that, I think this is a good add-on. I do not, however, appreciate that the automatic adding of sites is an extra-cost feature. I also think that for that extra cost at least FoxyProxy should be doing smart matching and not requiring me to put a rule for each port number or url that does not have "www." in front of it. I understand regular expressions but I don't think the normal user should be expected to do that. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (3.1).
Thank you for doing this so I didn't have to do it.
I sure hope nobody is making any money off the old TACO. He literally took it from a Google engineer and added more cookies. I hope he is not making money from something he didn't even create himself.
This "upgrade" is simply the author of TACO, who took this program originally from a Google engineer, improved it with more cookies, built up a stable of loyal users, and then took what was arguably not his and gave it to a company called "Abine." No financial terms were disclosed.
As a result, TACO is now a huge, bloated application that installs little free and paid-for applets of which TACO is just one of the free ones. This Abine application slows down my browser and uses too much memory. Not only that, it's slow, and causes jerky pauses when I watch videos.
Delete this. Do not install it. All we wanted was an add-on to give us permanent opt-out cookies. This version of the add-on is bad judgment of the author of TACO and an injustice to the original author of the opt-out cookie add-on. I sincerely hope money is not changing hands.
Do not use this!!
Not compatible with TACO extension. This extension also totally overrides Firefox cookie settings and the "accept third-party cookies" option simply cannot be enabled in any way while Cookie Whitelist is installed. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.0.2).
Nice but I don't want that little "P" on my status bar. It should be a toolbar button. Right now it makes the status bar taller than before Poster is installed. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.7.0).
Awesome attempt but it's missing a huge amount of icons as compared to the original CuteMenus SVG.
It seems focused a little too much on MS Windows.
The theme changer also seems to have no effect on Linux.
