Efficiently save locally current video Rated 5 out of 5 stars
As soon as a video starts playing in the current tab, the list of all available resolution and file format is updated with the files size. I often select ".3gp" for compact movie to play in my Android cell phone. The file is exactly the correct size, unlike when trying to manually save video from the cache folder of the Internet browser. The default filename is a Unicode string, so I get the correct description in Chinese, Persian (Farsi baladi ?), Russian or any other language using non latin font.
This simple down arrow icon proved to reliably detect the current video while other app keep their icon grayed out like if the web page didn't have any video.
Once the download is started, I can immediately close the tab to avoid wasting CPU time for playing the video. I navigate right away to the next potentially interesting video, knowing that I will review all the saved video later with a much more powerful movie player than what appear in the browser..\
