My Reviews

FireGestures

Essential! Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Life quality improved! It's just super convenient doing quick and simple gestures to open this or do that, instead of having to carefully aiming my mouse at certain buttons and having to click. The rocker gestures often leave selection artifacts on the previous tab, and releasing the mouse outside of the page opens context menus, but other than that, it's pretty solid and customizable!

Textarea Cache

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Having this add-on makes me a lot less worried through my day-to-day life. Losing progress because of a hand slip or because of a crash rarely happens, but when it does, it's good to have an add-on that effectively saves everything you had written on boxes before submitting.

Stylish

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

It's really awesome! Whether it's for fixing horrible website layouts, or making pretty websites customized to your liking, this add-on is a must have for those who like style on their surfing adventures, specially if they know CSS!

Status-4-Evar

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

So helpful to have. You get a status on what matters for you, and you can know where a link leads to without that awkward white rectangle on the corner. Plus, for people who use the addon bar at the bottom, it's just a waste of space to have the link destination rectangle outside of it. This addon fixes all of that!

RSS Icon In Awesombar

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Why this was removed from vanilla Firefox is a mystery to everybody. Not only does it show the icon, but it fully works, whether there's one available feed, or multiple. I don't always have to check if a website has a feed, but when I do, I'm glad I have this addon to help me.

keyword.URL Hack!

Rated 4 out of 5 stars

It's so helpful being able to input something on the Awesome Bar and have it go there automatically. It's a bit like the future -- you tell your machine what you want, and it knows what you mean, and goes there. Rarely, it glitches out and searches for stuff using my search bar engine, but otherwise, it's a brilliant addon!

Greasemonkey

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I use Greasemonkey to fix all sorts of problems with webpages, to implement tools to help me save time, and to browse the way I want. It completely changes the way you browse certain websites, for the better, hands down!

Go Parent Folder

Simple but awesome Rated 5 out of 5 stars

It adds something so simple but really great. I rarely have a need for it, but when I do, I'm so glad that I have it installed.

Bookmark Autohider

Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Super useful, as it helps me save precious space. It'd be great if there was a key or GUI button to open or close the bar, though...

Display Window Title

Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Most of the time I don't even notice I have this installed. That's a good thing, because a title on the window is the way Firefox was meant to work, and this addon brings it home just nicely. The only problem is that some themes don't clash well with the addon, mostly color-wise; an option to customize it would be great.

Adblock Plus

Literally indispensable Rated 5 out of 5 stars

The day ads stop being the horrible things they are is the day Adblock stops being recommended. Until then, you haven't started actually living on the internet until you downloaded this!

Abduction! - Webpage Screenshots Screen Capture

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

It does just what it's supposed to, and then some! Very convenient.

Digest

Great continuation to Brief, but it still has ways to go Rated 4 out of 5 stars

I have used Brief before and loved it. But it was starting to become outdated. The introduction of Digest delighted me, and ever since I installed it, I've been able to continue my happy feed-reading life. There are still several improvements that stuff like Brief and Digest are begging for. The most major one I can think of is the removal of that weird bit of lag that happens whenever you read every 5 items. I think loading the items in a thread, and loading one new item after every read item (instead of 5 more after 5 are read) would be wonderful. Other than that, there are minor improvements that I'm sure Digest will bring.

PopVideo

Simply perfect! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I never found the need to do this. Until the E3 rolled up. Most websites have a huge video embedded, and if I want them on another window, I have to have that window the size of the video, and I need to move the scrollbars so only the video is visible.
This addon fixes that perfectly! It even had no problems with a few things I'd assume!
I feared it wouldn't find streams, only videos. No problem, it found the stream just fine.
I feared it would leave the player's controls behind. No problem, it didn't.
I feared the video wouldn't resize. No problem, it totally does.
And the cherry on top of the cake: the ability to have the video always on top! I can't recommend this addon enough, for people who want videos to pop out!

Status-4-Evar

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Seems to work well, providing more customization than "bring back the old status bar". A must for those that prefer the old status bar, and for those that want to customize it.

ReminderFox

Does what it's supposed to, and it's quite customizable Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I had previously written that the pop ups wouldn't show, and that the time settings aren't flexible. These 2 aspects turned out to be false. That said, the addon really does work well, and the amount of customization is pretty good. The only complaints are very minor. In my opinion, the alarm pop up could be a bit more friendly. It's not ugly, but it could be a bit smoother. But maybe that's just me. Other than that, everything seems pretty great. I recommend it.

FoxTab

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Didn't quite find it useful for me, personally, but it's still a good addon. I didn't use it much because tab switching is something trivial for me, it doesn't deserve that much attention. But for those who want to put their Firefox with the best aspect possible, this addon is a must!
