This was my first Firefox add-on. It was tremendously impressive and everyone I showed it to wanted it. This is back when it was called Piclens. I tried it again a few months ago and found it slow and very commercialized. I decided to try it again today on my laptop. It's just as slow and jerky as it was the last time I tried it. I'm using Ubuntu with over 3 gig of ram installed, and I am very disappointed in the performance. I'll be uninstalling this ram-hogging piece of bloatware as soon as I finish writing this review. I'd advise not wasting time on this one. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.11.1).
Alternate flow player does not work on Firefox 3.0.14. It never loads. As I downloaded this to disable auto-play, I found it completely useless. Immediately uninstalled.
I've been using All-In-One Gestures for several months. I uninstalled it today on both my laptop and my desktop in favor of this add-on. It definitely is faster than AIOG. The latter seemed to lag a bit. This is very responsive. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.1.6).
I just installed this and i wanted you to know it installed on 3.0.5 without a hitch. It seems to really work well. Pages appear to load faster. I'm using the Turbo setting. Someone reported that it jacks up RAM usage. I haven't found that to be the case so far. I'm using about 987mb right now. I have Vista Home Premium (32 bit) with 4 GB of RAM and a 1.9 AMD Athlon dual core processor. I'll be watching resources the next few days and will amend my review if necessary.
I love this add-on. It totally works. I use it constantly. It's easy to customize gestures. I read some reviews where people were complaining they couldn't print the gestures. You can get a printable tab by gesturing Down-Right-Down.This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.19.1).
This is an outstanding add-on. I have been using this for several months and have found it very useful in previewing emails in my Yahoo account. It also saves a lot of time surfing the web because I can look at stuff before clicking through to itThis review is for a previous version of the add-on (2.6.4).
