thanks, Scroogle, for caring about us end usersThis review is for a previous version of the add-on (20090619).
BetterPrivacy deletes LSO's automatically, and does a few more things.
- installs yet another context menu item with no option to hide.
- if configured for single-click translate, this does not work with the toolbar button.
- installs yet another statusbar icon with no option to hide. all ext. developers should offer: OPTION to display status bar icon (where appropriate) and/or toolbar icon (where appropriate) and/or context menu (where appropriate).
as Rob said, Zotero is better... much betterThis review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.1).
major annoyance: this extension blocks redirects with no option to disable except on a site specific basis. FF already offers the option to warn you of redirects, so why this is being duplicated in RequestPolicy i do not know. perhaps the author has a good reason, but at the very least there needs to be an option to disable this annoying behavior. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.5.12).
cannot possibly expect SkipScreen to work with ALL supported sites ALL the time. it will always be a battle between big corporate interests and the little people and i'm sure the SkipScreen dev(s) are doing their best, something for which they cannot be faulted for.
worked better before dev started using tooltips. often tooltips from link alert persist and don't go away. also tooltips from link alert overlap tooltips from web pages and there's no way to position them any longer.
like the ext., but it needs work.
life would be miserable without it!This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.6.3).
would be a heck of allot better if it blocked JS refreshesThis review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.5).
UPDATE: the advanced policy manager is a pain. it would be a HUGE plus if one could simply create a new policy for a website(s), then change the settings in the UI and apply the new settings to the policy rather than having to research property/method stuff that many users could care less about (me).
nice tool, simple, easy to use.
as for those referencing NoScript, yes, it does work with NoScript and no, this is NOT a replacement for NoScript.
good start, but missing badly needed features. missing:
- white list/black list
- change prefs WITHOUT reloading page
- enable/disable with left click (right now you get same menu with left or right click - redundant)
good, but why can't you enable/disable it with a single left click like many other extensions? This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.8.12).
not compatible with 3.5.4This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.2.6).
useless but brilliant :)
getting error - not compatible with FF 3.5.3This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2.98).
EXCELLENT! thanks to the dev(s) for a small, capable, simple page grab tool! works with Flash too!
i've tried several screen-grab tools, including Abduction, and this is the best for my needs. simple, and it works.
People need to do their own research, not rely on what is spoon-fed to them and i see this as yet another spoon of which there are enough of in mainstream media. Furthermore, what is to stop unethical people and corporations and governments from spamming this technology with false claims/disputes and how does the end user know who is making or disputing claims? This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.22).
a little buggy (on Windows anyway) regarding window resizing and FF no longer seems to remember previous position and size, but i like the extension and look forward to improvements (already submitted bugs to support). thanks to the developer! This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.9.0.3p).
poorly cobbled together bloated nonsense that has a long history of conflicting with other extensions. for similar functionality without the needles bulk, search for 'tab mix lite ce'This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.3.7.3).
